I'm watching Cotto v Clottey here now for the first time...

At least, Cotto showed he was a tougher guy on Saturday night, and CLottey was trying to get out of the fight by faking his knee injury IMO... What I don't understand is how can anyone hate Cotto? How can anyone hate Clottey? How can anyone hate Pacquiao? How can anyone hate Paul Williams? How can anyone hate Marquez? How can anyone hate Pavlik or Froch? etc...

They are fighters who will go above and beyond and fight anyone. They are true fighters and it sickens me that some will use ethnicity blindingly in a way to downgrade an opponent. There should be more boxing fans here. Not fans of bloodlines.

Clottey acted like a little girl Saturday...when he fell and complained about his knee..when Cotto barellllyy jab the back of his head and he fell on the floor holding his head from so much "pain"...dude acted like a clown in my opinion.

Well he may have thought he was being fouled repeatedly. I do know that Clottey will not back down from any fighter. He exaggerated the fouls, but he picked himself up and kept fighting. Maybe he thought he was losing and was hoping to get that point back from the knockdown? It is hard to say. I will not hold it against him unless he starts doing that all the time.

I dont know what fight some of the people on this thread were watching, but I saw a close fight with one fighter being knocked down in the first round!! they act like clottey gave cotto a beating, and thats just not the case!! If anything the most hurtful strike all night was clotteys head hitting cotto and giving him a huge cut by his eye

Yeah Clottey will fight anyone, I'm not taking that away from him, he has balls. But if you're saying he might have done those things to get a point back. To exaggerate just a little bit more than usual just to get on top in the scorecards? That's a ***** move, that just proves my point then....

I've seen the fight four times now (I'm a freak), and I still just can't agree with shouts of robberry. I think it's pretty ridiculous actually. The main problem is, Clottey's best rounds 7-9 were clear rounds which he landed clean effective punches. That leaves an impression overall, but those rounds count the same as the 3rd round that Cotto edged by the skin of his teeth. It's just how boxing works.

I always thought that choosing to fight clottey was crazy. Cotto should've fought floyd or pacman before Clottey. Clottey is crazy and VERY hard to knock down or knockout. Why do you think pacman, mosley, hopkins or floyd are avoiding Clottey. No way Margarito fights Clottey again. Leave CLOTTEY ALONE WELTERWEIGHTS !
