I have a feeling if Clottey had any more in the tank he would have given it. A lot of people are saying he should have known better but to be honest Clottey frequently gasses. Odds are, he was a lot more winded than anyone realizes. I doubt it was a matter of laziness but an inability to dig any deeper.

I agree totally. I only mean the "he should have known better" in that he shouldn't feel so robbed seeing as he really didn't blatantly win a fight he should have known he had to blatantly win.

Cotto did even less than Clottey.

            LOL

Clottey landed more punches....set the pace...showed effective aggression..and a good scoring jab.

            Clottey won.

Wheres the picture of him landing his clean jab like Cotto did? Looks to me it was Cotto who landed the cleaner looking jabs. If thats not the case, where are the pics of Clottey landing his jabs on Cotto?

Polls like this will never be accurate.

                There's 3 groups.
                Pacman groupies
                Cotto groupies
                Mayweather groupies

Should never have a poll with EITHER of those 3 men.

                Oh, and over at fightjudge.com,

"real" fans who judged the fight as it occured had Clottey winning. Check it out. It's definitely a more accurate look than your poll. You can see a higher % had Clottey winning 114-113.
actually the scene is influenced by a lot of races and ethnics groups. there is a big European community, specially from Great Britain, the hispanic community is mostly mexican and puertorican but there are also dominicans, panamanians and others. anyways, all i'm saying is that u are generalizing and stereotyping...

Clottey doesn't deserve to win because he new what was at stake and let left his faith in the judges hand. Cotto doesn't deserve to win because he he let Clottey back into fight after the knock down. It should be a draw and know one walks away with a lost.

The fight is scored off conecting shots period. Looking at the fight again, and looking at the connecting shots, I gave it to Clottey. You can't give a fighter a round just because it was little to know action. I don't care how bizzy a fighter is, if he's not connectiong you shouldn't give him points. I don't believe boxing is scoring arm punches. I gave cotto the 1st, hard to score the 6th and gave him the 12. Thats just going of what I seen. Another thing the side live team was saying. When Cotto was getting beat most of the round and end it with a good shots, the was saying (Maybe Cotto stole that round) Off of one good shot, Please. I thought it was, who ever landed the most punches.

Thats my thoughts on that. They have the fight on Youtube.

how is the 6th round hard to score? that was a lopsided round in favor of cotto.

Overall punch stats need to be taken with a grain of salt. In addition to the fact that fights aren't won with compubox. Each round needs to be scored individually, ultimately leading to a final score.

Look at the first 3 rounds..

Clottey was wearing Cotto's ass out with his jab.

                      Clottey won that fight...

                      Effective aggresion..landed more..set the pace.
