This news was already out in last June 4! So don't think this is legit...its all money making for GBP PBF...

I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that ticket sales were dismal up to this point for thier july 18th bout.

Yeah you were right. The article does say something like that.

"According to Brad, less than 300 tickets has been sold as of this time. And theres no indication that it will surpass to 1,000 tickets this weekend. A very dismal showing for a mega fight or a ppv fight. So GBP is planning to move the schedule to August 8 and instead of PPV it will be shown for free viewing.

GBP is not new to this problem, in two weeks or three GBP will have a major announcement to move the fight because of injury to either marquez or mayweather as the reason to move the fight. They always done this every time they smell something wrong at the box office."

Rib Injury = A prelude to an excuse when Marquez beats him down

As soon as I read the date I began laughing. I'm with the other people saying the fight is being pushed close to Mexican Independence Day to help boost ticket sales. But oh well. I was really looking forward to this fight, but I can wait a little longer. Hopefully now the fight will be bigger now with more time to promote, the date being near Mexican Independence Day, and seems like at least so far there are no other big fight around that time.

                I would love to see...

                Cotto vs Pacquiao
                &
                Mayweather vs Marquez

                Winners face off.

But I mean we thought we had this before when

                Cotto fought Mosley
                &
                Mayweather fought Hatton

                but then Mayweather just retired.....

From all other boxing writer reports , TICKET SALES ARE WAY DOWN !

This is killing Mayweathers stand for the greater share of the money when he and Pac meet in the center of the ring.

This is not fair to JMM !!!!!!

If May pulls out completely he needs to go ahead and fight MOSLEY.
