Not to be a conspiracy theorist...but here's a point to consider.

The announcement of the "injury" was by Richard Schaefer..JM Marquez's official promoter. Leonard Ellerbe is Floyd's Manager and CEO of Mayweather promotions (paper promoter). Shouldn't Mr. Ellerbe (along with Floyd's doctor) be making that announcement???

If this injury is indeed FAKE, Mr. Schaefer would NOT be liable for making false statements because he doesn't officially represent Floyd Mayweather!! Floyd's doctor or anyone from Floyd's camp would NOT be liable either because they didn't TALK!!! Statements from Floyd about his "injury" don't count either because he his NOT a doctor!! He could say anything without reprimand!!

Because their too ashamed to do it themselves. After all this work up of coming back from his sojourn or so called "retirement", they're postponing a fight with a little man. They would sound like little b!tches if they announced it themselves so they have Schaefer do it instead. Plus the first person they have to notify is the other side anyways and they just sat back and let Schaefer do all the work afterwards.
