Alot of people hating on cotto but he had the ballz to face clottey plus he had to fight him with one eye basically the whole fight. During the first 3 rounds ihe was fighting ok with a high guard 2 i think if the headbutt wouldnt have happened he woulda won more convincingly but never the less he won the fight. Alot of people here crazy saying 8 to 4 for clottey or 8-4 for cotto its crazy i can see 6-6 for either guy maybe 7-5 but tahts a maybe but 8-4 hell no for none of them
    good post

if anyone scored the fight it should be at least by 2 points

but i said before the fight that clottely gonna have to KO cotto because the judges wasn't gonna let him win the fight at all.

thats exactly what steve bunce said on setanta. Cotto could have taken the easy route out and won after 4 rounds as soon as the cut started but he risked it against a world class and very very tough fighter. I think he may have decided to fight on to bury the demons of the tony fight and show he has the heart of a lion and doesnt want to let his fans down by taking the easy route.

Had it 114-113 Clottey, but could see it going 114-113 for Cotto also. There is now way that any judge th€at scored this fight 116-111 should be able to score another championship fight.

Also, these commissions should really start to regulate the advertisements on the mats. These fighters are really being put at risk of serious injuries. There were 21 times where I saw Clottey slip and a few times that Cotto slipped.

I literally had the same exact card.

              Cotto: Rounds 1,3,4,6,11,12
              Clottey: Rounds 2,5,7,8,9,10

              114-113 Cotto.

I had it 114-113 for Clottey.

The scored could not have been any wider for either guy. It was a close fight.

One thing is true, however... Clottey made Cotto look very bad in this fight.

Guys, rewatch round one... I think you can score that round 9-9. I felt it was all Clottey. Either way though, I gave it to Cotto 10-8

i dont think its 9-9 round cause it wasnt like clottey was winning big that round maybe by one or 2 more punches nothing big though

Agreed. The only reason I felt was questionable was the judge that had it 116-111 for Cotto.

There should be more transparency in boxing maybe even show how the judge is scoring the fight while the fight is happening with a video that can be played later and at the very least show each and every judges scorecard after the fight.
