It is not about getting a gift in a close fight. That is not my point of who got or gets gift decisions. If the fight is close two people watching the fight may see it from different prospectives. Some score for volume of punches and work rate others score for harder cleaner punches. I mean look at the Calzaghe vs Hopkins fight. If you score for work rate then Joe defintely through a whole bunch of slaps and won the fight. But if you actually look at the amount of punches landed cleanly B Hop landed the cleaner more effective punches overall. It can be a tough fight to score. You can begrudge a judge for that. This is why when you face a Champ you need to beat him up badly to ensure a victory. If you or your trainers think it is a close fight then you need to go hard every round. This gift decision is ****** in the fights you mention Cotto vs Clottey and Pac vs JMM. They were both close fights and could have been scored for either fighter.....Lefty

Cotto gets gifts every time and I dont think he beat Mosley either.Mosley lost because of reasons beyond boxing,Clottey was ****ed because of other reasons beyond boxing.Losing 116-111 means that judge (please tell us what race he is) was determined to make Clottey lose regardless of what Clottey was going to do.

This guy is the most overated fighter of our generation and all those who claimed Cotto is better than PBF you are schizophrenic.Cotto is not an elite fighter and I hope he signs to fight Manny ,PBF or Mosley and you will see his purto Rican ass get ****d.

Your thread title makes out like he always gets decisions he shouldn't... you then mention 2 close fights that he won....

As far as I'm concerned, he clearly won the Mosley fight. No doubt it was close, but I don't think it was an 'either way' fight, 7-5 Cotto pretty obviously IMO.

The Clottey fight could've gone either way IMO, but that makes one fight... so, your thread is a waste of space, basically.

I honestly don't see how people even think the fight was close. Cotto was a clear step ahead of Mosley the entire fight. The Clottey fight could have gone either way... any way that didn't involve a draw... Most people don't know this but in a 12 rd fight if only one round is scored 10-8 and the rest are 10-9 a draw is impossible... do the math it's true.

Yet and still I HOPE Manny spanks Cotto like a bad child
