mmm that card is a little suspect for a close fight, but not as worse than Berto - Collazo one!

That's the judge that had only 7 title fights to his name isn't it? I guess that figures. I thought Clottey got robbed.

bcuz clottey didn't do **** the last 2 rounds. doesn't matter though, cuz i had clottey up 3 points after the 10th, and i was saying the only way cotto can win this is by KO.....

close fight, clottey could've pulled away, but he gave away the last 2 rounds....i have no problem w/ anyone giving the fight to cotto 114-113, but 115-112, is crazy.

and ANYONE who has this a 116-111 fight, should not be allowed to watch and score a fight ever again.....

i don't give a **** if you're the BIGGEST cotto fan, there is no way in hell he won this fight 8 rounds to clottey's 4, period.

Clottey was more effective and delivered more damage. That´s why 116-111 is a joke. It was a close fight and this score just doesn´t fit the fight.

116-111 was an awful score. The rounds Clottey won he won BIG. I thought the most you could have had it for Cotto is 114-113. I only watched it the one time last night, but I couldn't see giving him more than 6 rounds.

Cotto is the man for not quitting with that AWFUL cut over his eye, but Clottey asserted himself well after that point. It would have been a razor thin fight even if the cut didn't occur. Clottey fought a great fight until the end.

Good post. Cotto is probably my favorite fighter today now that Toney and Morales are on their way out, but I agree w/ everything you said here. No way Cotto won more than 6 rounds.

I get what your saying but I still thought it was crazy scoring, 114-113 or 115-112 I can understand... but 116-111? I don't think that's fair... I had Cotto winning 114-113.

Stuff like this cracks me up. 114-113 or 115-112 is just fine, but 116-111 is an outrage? Uhmmmm, the difference between 115-112 and 116-111 is ONE ROUND people. So basically someone loses all credibility if they disagree with you on ONE ROUND? cmon man...........

FYI, I scored it 114-113 Cotto.

It was a close fight. I had it go like this:

                    R1-Cotto; 10-8/10-8
                    R2-Clottey; 10-9/19-18 Cotto
                    R3-Cotto; 10-9/29-27 Cotto
                    R4-Draw; 10-10/39-37 Cotto
                    R5-Clottey; 10-9/48-47 Cotto
                    R6-Cotto; 10-9/58-56 Cotto
                    R7-Clottey;10-9/67-66 Cotto
                    R8-Clottey;10-9/76-76 Draw
                    R9-Clottey;10-9/86-85 Clottey
                    R10-Cotto; 10-9/95-95 Draw
                    R11-Cotto; 10-9/105-104 Cotto
                    R12-Cotto; 10-9/115-113 Cotto

Round 4, 6 and 10 were the biggest rounds for me personally. Round 4 could have gone to either man, I couldn't decide. I can see how judges gave it to either guy. And round 6, I initially scored it 10-8 for Cotto, but changed it to 10-9. He had Clottey on the ropes for 2 minutes and just pounded him. For round 10, last night during the moment I had it 10-10. Neither of them did much of anything, however upon re-reviewing it, Cotto landed the three most meaningful hits and scored it 10-9 for Cotto

Some of the rounds were really really close except for the rounds that both fighters clearly won

Without a doubt. People are ****ed up, Clottey was in controll of most of the rounds, and had Cotto ready to go numerous times, and was the only one putting a beating on, and some had it 116-111 for the guy taking all the damage?
