I dunno about ou guys, but I tried on some 8 oz pro grants today and those things were ****ing tiny compared to my 16 oz shevlins. I swear my Shevlins were about twice the size as those things. For some reason they look so much bigger on TV

Thank fuck they fight each other with pillows.

Perhaps you should suggest your idea to people that piss blood after a fight. Or those that suffer fractured/broken bones.

Damn Sam Peter with MMA gloves vs Arlovski, that would be the first real death in MMA.
TS is a moron who never boxed before. I sparr with pros everyday with those pillows and i guarantee i don't wanna lay on those punches. Boxers are too dangerous to box with small gloves.

I sparred with MMA guys with 4 ounces gloves and it's easier to land on them cause they don't have any defense whatsoever. They're very tough guys but they don't move their heads and don't know how to block punches.

The guys dont get hurt in there anymore with those damn pillows, this is why MMA will surpass boxing in a year or so
Because boxing has turned soft and everyone knows it
So People are gonna love watching 2 sweaty men dry hump eachother, take 2 punches to the head and then have the fight be over?

man i can see why you love MMA

              Its a game of hurt

How anyone can call it a gentleman's sport is beyond me
i think your talking about UFC there.

ever been hit by one of these pillows? even the smaller fighters can still hurt you.

However, there is a school of thought that says that lighter gloves are safer.

KO's would come more easily and so the fighter would actually recieve LESS brain trauma. of course more fights would be stopped by cuts as well.

Evidence to prove either way is hard to find.

There is far less difference between an 8oz glove and MMA gloves than you think. With MMA gloves all the weight is in the knuckles but in a boxing glove the weight is distributed throughout the glove
