The gloves are good just how they are now. It's not even that much of a safe sport, fighters still get hurt and come out brain damaged even with these so-called pillows. Years of getting hit with those pillows will haunt you at the end of the day when you are retired. We want to see a fight, not someone getting hurt and have their hands shaking and they can't even talk all they can do is mumble out their words.

Gloves are there for a reason; to protect the opponent and to protect the boxer's hands.

Actually, Boxers sustain more brain injuries due to bigger gloves since they prevent a more immediate KO's, thus, allowing for continual punishment.

In a sense, it would be beneficial for Boxers to use smaller gloves because fights would end quicker.

Many boxers myself included already have bad hand problems using the "pillow" gloves, if they forced everyone to use those tiny mma gloves your hands wouldn't last long I'm afraid. I'd wager you’re not a boxer otherwise you wouldn't be complaining about the size of the gloves, instead you'd be more worried about protecting your hands.
