I'm not saying it's going to be a blow out.

I expect a gritty UD, with some potential fireworks. Depending on whether or not Clottey can find a way to get his shots off against a moving target.

But expecting a KO from eithe guy is ludacris IMO.

Cotto has proven himself incapable of breaking down bigger, stronger opponets like Mosley and Margarito.

So I doubt he'll get the KO.

And Clottey couldn't KTFO of a prime, jawless, Roger Mayweather on his best day.

I really don't see it being that close of a fight. Cotto has every advantage he needs to win the decisive victory.

Perhaps that's me writing off Clottey....

    We'll find out soon enough.

Me "O rly, do you want to bet on the fight"

Some dude "hell yea I will bet any ammount on Tyson, how much do you want to bet"

Me "cool I look forward to the fight"

This conversation repeated itself often on that night.

B-Hop Tito (Winky Tito also) was another one, but that was a much more delicate situation afterwards if you catch my drift.
Ass sore Tito fans, gotta love 'em.

How the hell is CLottey a better fighter than Cotto? Because that's what you're saying when you say he's "greater than" him.

Clottey doesn't do **** that Cotto doesn't do better. He's not a notoriously hard puncher, his workrate is a bit overblown around here (he does take breaks throughout the fight), his boxing ability is below Cotto's, etc...

The only advantage I give Clottey over Cotto is a slight edge in the defensive category.

But one advantage doesn't exactly make for a "greater" fighter.
Cotto is suspect to uppercuts.......he bends his kness slouches over and starts his attack.........thats his curse.......a slow wide puncher like Marg was able to land over 200 power shots on Cotto........plaster cant help ya connect rate.........Cotto is kinda tailor made for Clottey because of Clottey's love for the uppercut.......Cotto is USUALLY the bigger man on fight night.......so he's been able to impose his will on dudes and break theirs in the process.......thats what Cotto does BEST!........but tonight he'll be the smaller man and we'll see if he'll be able to break Clottey's will because we know Cotto can't run all night like he did against Marg so at some time he'll stand and trade and get rocked.....because Cotto gets rocked in ALL his big fights........to pick Clottey by KO is NOT that far off IMO........styles make fights!

Cotto had every advantage over Margarito except stamina and chin and he still lost.

Don't know what their is to be amazed by, its the same cotto-haters each time. The same morons came out when Mosley, Judah both fought Cotto aswell.

Clottey's footwork is suspect, he's always had stamina problems if you ask me, but in every convo you hear him talking about how much he runs, so what, tell me about how many punches you throw in training, if it was all about running, then Kenyans would rule the lower weights. I dont think Clottey will win but it would be pretty cool, just to see an upset. He will need to show me something I havent seen from him in order to win.

I do wonder what will happen if he lands that counter left hook flush, I think it may drop Cotto, at least hurt him.

Margarito is a totally different fighter from Clottey, though.

His workrate and chin are leagues beyond Clottey's IMO.

                  Interesting.

Coto fought like a moron against Margarito, thus allowing Tony to land those uppercuts.

There were times in that fight where Cotto would literally sit on the middle rope, to catch a rest, and in the process, lean into about 5 Margarito uppercuts at a time.

I doubt Cotto will ever fight that ****** again, and I expect him to show some clinching ability if Clottey gets set to unload his shots.

There's a chance Cotto will fight ******ly against Clottey, but I doubt it. And Clottey would need a better workrate, and better conditioning to capitalize on that even if Cotto fought that way.

To me if a fighter can make his skills work in harmony the fighters overall level is greater then the sum of his overall parts. To me Clottey is the negative of this, he is solid all around but his overall level is less then the sum of the parts of his game.

He does a lot of things well but they do not flow together in a way that allows him to maximize his talents.

He is a very good fighter but unless he has something in his bag of tricks that I am unaware of, I do not like his chances. I could get +325 on Clottey, those are pretty healthy odds, that I have not even considered laying money on.

Mosley didn't rock Cotto and Mosley is a much harder puncher then Clottey is.
Clottey couldn't even finish off Diego who was way past it at the point he fought him.
You forget that Mosley is a bigger fighter then Cotto too.. and to me, this fight will be somewhat similar but with Cotto winning it more decisively because of Clottey's inactivity when he is in his defensive shell.
