now that you mention it yeah I do remember a lot of dirty **** from both guys. Not real impressive skill wise but entertaining.

      Thanks for your reply.

It's good to know, as a Clottey fan at least, he wasn't hurt or struggling.

Many people forget Cotto has been hurt and almost KO'd by Torres. He was also hurt by Corley and Judah as well.

I think both fighters have problems with certain type of opponents, but I feel Clottey is more durable and precise in his punching.

I literally just watched it again now. It wasnt really controversial but Clottey allowed it to become closer than it shouldve been. He tired a lot down the stretch and was clinching in the championship rounds. That couldve been down to poor conditioning but Guttierez did sink some good body shots in so that maybe good news for Cotto fans.

Although I would say Clottey seems to have improved since then.

I'm asking about this fight because I'm expecting Clottey to win, but I was starting to change my prediction if he really struggled with Gutierrez.

I appreciated your reply. I'm under the impression you felt Clottey won without many problems.
The fight seemed close because Guiterrez has the same style as Clottey does, many times when fighters face a style like theirs they dont look as good.

gutierrez is slow brawling, semi durable fighter who gave Clottey a competitive fight through 12. Thats not a good sign.
