Felix “Tito” Trinidad, tres veces ex campeón mundial de boxeo y una de las grandes leyendas del boxeo puertorriqueño, ofreció su pronóstico para las peleas titulares que sostendrán mañana en Nueva York los campeones mundiales boricuas Miguel Cotto e Iván Calderón.
Felix "Tito" Trinidad, 3 time world champion and one of the great legends of puertorican boxing,give his picks for the title fight this saturday on NY where the Boricuas champions Miguel Cotto and Calderon will see action.
“(Joshua) Clottey (rival de Cotto) es fuerte, es uno de los welters más fuertes. Ni Cotto ni nadie puede subir confiado ante él. Tiene una buena condición física y es incómodo, porque se tapa bien con los brazos, pero no es un pegador. Pero Cotto tiene manos fuertes. Esperamos que defienda su título y gane. Yo creo que gana Cotto por decisión”, evaluó Trinidad.
"(Joshua) Clottey is strong, is one of the strongest WW. No one including Cotto should underestimate him.He has good condition and is awkward,because he cover well with his arms,but is not a puncher.But Cotto has the heavy hands.we hope that he will defend his title and win. I think Cotto will win by decision", evaluated Trinidad.
En cuanto a Calderón, según Tito “su rival (Rodel MAyol) es alto, pero Iván (Calderón) le va a dar la lección de boxeo que le dado a otros boxeadores. Yo voy a él”.
As far as Calderon, " His rival is tall, but I put my money on calderon to give him a boxing lesson,just like he has done to others.I'm rooting for him."
“No voy a Nueva York, pero apoyo a cien por ciento a los nuestros”, aseguró Tito.
"I'm not going to NY,but my support is to the fullest when it comes to my people", he added.
