I agree that haye fought 10 times better competition in his 1st 23 fights.wlad lost to puritty in his 23rd fight.that set wlad back years much like lewis after he lost to mccall(except lewis was world champ & puritty is a journeyman). With wlad amateur background & gold medal that was a total embarrassment because not only should wlad beat purity but he should have knocked him out & he should have fought purrity after 7 fights not 23.it shows you how bad a trainer that german guy was.he threw in the towel & protected his fighter too long.Tyson, lewis,Holyfield were world champs by 23 fights & wlad couldn't beat purrity.steward was the best thing to happen to wlad.too bad it's a week division now because wlad is a good fighter not great.wlad had a crack at all of the greats but couldn't get by purrity much like his brother choked vs Byrd.

Bottom line wit Chapman is that he's only 26 years-old and 29-0, have seen some videos of him and he's a real raw talent ya kno? Powerful though and if he wants to fight Haye he should shake off some ring rust before doin that cuz dude hasn't fought in a lonng time.
One thing is sure about JD,he hits hard.
Manny fighters who sparred with him and lot of champs said that Chapman punching power is huge,he can punch.

Now he never faced a simple contender, this 6th place in ranks was a joke.Dude is untested,he's awesome but maybe he has no real balls and no chin,we'll see if he face a dudes like Johnson(Kingpin)or Travis Walker...

"Tyson, lewis,Holyfield were world champs by 23 fights"
        Totally wrong.

"that was a total embarrassment because not only should wlad beat purity but he should have knocked him out & he should have fought purrity after 7 fights not 23."

Shoud have yeah.Wlad had 4% of chances to loose that fight, and it happened.End off.
He was better than Purity, german trainer or not.
Rahman wasn't better than Lewis,Douglas wasn't better than tyson, but it happened too.
It's simply what happen with 240 lbs men in the ring.

I can't believe I still hear the name of Purity.

Close but no cookie, Tyson was not a world champ at 23 fights, but the other fighters u mentioned were. Tyson did not become champ till his 28th pro fight against Berbick.

I know he's sort of a bum, but I've been wondering what happened to this guy. I tried digging up articles on him a few times, yet nothing's been written on the guy ever since he dropped off after the Haye debacle.

He should literally in all seriousness fight Cliff Couser then Dominick Guinn or Robert Hawkins then David Haye or Travis Walker. There ya go....his career til the end of the year.

                Yeah,that's a nice plan.
But there is a very good reason why he has fought only bums and average fighters.
HE NEVER FOUGHT HAS AN AMATEUR!!!
He's young,so,he should continue to step up slowly.

My local boxing scene sucks until recently.I know tye fields isn't winning any world titles but he moved to my hometown in Canada & is fighting on the 20th here.he has his own promotion here.he's in the main event vs some bum to showcase himself to the public.cisse salif is on the undercard vs the former Canadian hw champ.everyday since the 8th he let's anyone come watch him train,he's having a press conference & free BBQ at the casino to meet & greet the public.he has a kids day as well along with picture taking .salif & fields will also have a live sparring session for the public to see.playboy playmates for ringcard girls & Gerry cooney is the special guest host for the fight night events.I'm actually excited & glad tye is here.this will really help the local scene get better because the other local promoters are a joke compared to what tye is bringing here.I'm cheering for him now even thou the Barrett loss exposed him.he could bring some good cards to Edmonton thou.I'd love a Barrett rematch & I'm going to ask him if he ever intends on revisiting that nightmare .in hindsight if he beats Barrett he doesn't move here.go TYE! That sounds crazy but I'm cheering for him too have some success.the more he wins, the more good fights will be in Edmonton.
