it wouldnt be like that if that dude from Wales who's still OFFICIALLY in his 30's would've stepped up to the plate for 12 more rounds of fun.......but he didn't and you supported that move....now you sit back and throw shots at dude for fighting someone like Glen Johnson twice......to be honest, fighting Glen Johnson once is a problem.....but twice.....thats props worthy to me........Glen is a BEAST........your idol knows that to......a couple of fights between the 2 were scratched........and Glen was still the only one itchin' to make it happen.........supportin' Joe and tryin' to clown Chad for fighting the Tarver's and Johnson's of the LHW division twice is kinda of like hustlin' backwards.........or takin' a **** AFTER you get outta the shower........it makes no sense!!!

I like Calzaghe, but Glenn Johnson > current Roy Jones any day of the week.

Even though I've got hard feelings toward Chad for barely scraping past Glen Johnson and hanging him out to dry for a year to fight Tarver twice, I still give him props for having the guts to tangle with him unlike Calzaghe did. Not fighting tough opponents in your prime like Calzaghe did with Glen Johnson causes Joe to deserve the venom he gets in the boxing community. Having said that, I don't really think a Calzaghe-Johnson fight would be good now. Because Johnson isn't really the same fighter he was when he knocked out Roy Jones. I think even if Calzaghe would have fought him when it mattered Joe would have beaten him. He would have had to work for the victory though, that's for sure. And after seeing the faded version of Glen Johnson take Chad Dawson to places he had never been before, tells me that Chad Dawson isn't capable of beating Calzaghe at all. If you want my honest opinion, I think the fighter that has the best chance to beat Calzaghe right now that's on the top of his game is Paul Williams. He would have the work rate to match Joe on top of the reach advantage. Paul also has better stamina than Chad Dawson.

I also heard that this rematch is either gonna take place on the West Coast or in Connecticut. Now not having Chad fight in Connecticut is a reason why his fan base isn't worth a ****. But if there is ever a right time for Dawson to have a fight in Connecticut, it would be this one. I just don't understand why the judges in the first fight had it scored 116-112 for Chad across the board. Given the fact that the initial encounter took place in Florida you would think that the judges would show Johnson a little bit more respect than that since he makes his home in Miami. That just goes to show the shadyness of the judges chosen by that athletic commision. Two other examples of highway robberies in that state were the first Emmanuel Augustus-Courtney Burton fight and the match between Kermit Cintron and Sergio Martinez. I may have to make a point of not watching fights that go down in that state. But I have a real funny feeling that if this rematch takes place in the Mohegan Sun the judges will be in Chad's pocket in this fight once again too. Having this rematch in Connecticut is just over kill. Why not Atlantic City, Madison Square Garden, Biloxi, or New Orleans?

Great to hear. It's not like anyone else is looking for Dawson anyway...B-Hop and Johnson are the only ones out there with Joe's retirement.

I'm not extremely excited about it, but it should be an above average fight.

Paul Williams does not have the technical skills of Dawson, he still has holes in his defense and offense. I would say Dawson vs Calzaghe would be a 50/50 fight, the reason why is because Calzaghe is not like Johnson. Styles make fights and Calzaghe is more of a boxer than a brawler. Johnson is more in your face and Calzaghe likes to box close-range, I'd say Dawson has a better chance at handling Calzaghe's speed than Williams who's slower than Dawson. Iceta you're just a hater.

You're just a ****ing idiot and a hater, just stop it you're embarrassing yourself. Dawson has plenty fans, more fans than your boy Glen Johnson.

I agree that Dawson actually is a more technically skilled boxer than Paul Williams. But that doesn't make him the better fighter at all. If you don't see the flaws in Dawson's game I don't know what to tell you. Everybody has their opinion. And what I see in Chad Dawson is a fighter who takes breaks in rounds (the reason I think Clottey will lose to Cotto tonight), lack of punching power and aggressiveness, and he doesn't have an A-level defense believe it or not. And you are calling me a hater. LMAO. Look, I don't really hate Chad Dawson on a personal level. In fact, I think he's got a really nice personality outside of the ring. And I think he's probably a devoted family man. But as a fighter, I'm just not feeling him. He's not as good as his hardcore fans make him out to be. And the best fighter he's beat he got the victory based on politics.
