I hope it is too. That would f#cking suck if they put it off til November. But that may be what we are looking at because HBO's boxing budget is on empty right now. You can thank your boy for part of that though, because HBO lost their ass by overpaying for his rematch with Tarver. But Dawson's contract with HBO is gonna be up after this fight and I am skeptical about HBO throwing any of these guys another bone after this fight is over with. Sure, Johnson is an exciting fighter, but TV networks think the undefeated record is the be all end all and those losses on Glen's record look unattractive to the casualy TV audience. And even though Dawson is undefeated, HBO knows he doesn't draw a strong crowd, and they view him as a liability. Like you mentioned though, part of that is Gary Shaw's fault. Why doesn't he have Dawson fight on the East Coast where he is from so he can build his fan base? That's the same mistake that Goosen is making with Paul Williams, but Goosen gets a lot of money from the west coast casinos.

No what matter Dawson thinks or says, sometimes the promoter needs to set their fighters straight. Say what you want about Dan Goosen but he sticks up for his fighters, Bob Arum will have Miguel Cotto or Kelly Pavlik fight someone dangerous despite if Cotto or Pavlik doesn't want to. Gary Shaw made some ****** moves, he ignored IBF rules about Dawson needing to fight a mandatory. Dawson should of fought Cloud after he beat Tarver the first time, Shaw even publicly said that Dawson would never fight Cloud, what an *******. So I put most of the blame on Gary Shaw and like what Dawson said "I'll fight whoever my promoter wants to me to fight", well Gary Shaw is giving him the wrong fights. And Dawson is Shaw's biggest superstar, there is a reason why Lacy, Mosley, Wright, and Pacquiao left Shaw.

He's going to resign with HBO, the reason why he doesn't attract a strong crowd is because he fought mostly on Showtime, had he been televised by HBO earlier in his career, he definitely would be much more popular.

Dawson will box circles around Johnson this time. But Dawson will not get any credit for this future victory.

I don't know if you can say that Shaw is giving him the wrong fights. I don't view this rematch as the wrong fight. Plus Chad probably got a nice chunk of change from the Tarver fights. Change that really should have been part of Glen Johnson's pockets as well given the unfinished business between the two.

I think they're getting glen johnson at a good time. He's gota be nearly 40. I actually thought dawson won the first fight.....just. This time I think he'll have to much for him. I think it was johnsons stamina which may hae cost him the first fight, I can't see his stamina getting any better with age lol

are u serious? chad outboxed him early, then he got tired from johnsons pressure. glen did his best work late, if it was 15 rounds he most likely wouldve stopped chad.

i do think chad has gotten better since the last fight, ppl say to much about johnsons age. hes still as game as ever, dawson is better than ever though and i think he will come out on top.

This should gain Dawson some respect back.
