Like someone else said already, Haye wouldnt have pulled just because of the money, They would have had enough time shop the fight around other TV stations like SKY...and it would have been taken on by some of this TV station.

Thanks, it was good to see it published, although the rematch won't happen, unfortunately. There's an awful, gushing article about Khan in the same issue of The Ring, so my letter was maybe a slight counter-point to that. Ironic, because I like Khan but I can't stand the uncritical, gushing praise he gets from some boxing writers.

The rematch will never happen they'll only take that chance once. They should of saved that article for after the kotelnik fight (thats if he beats him).

I certainly don't blame you for laughing at him - after all his trash talk, pulling out with an injury certainly leaves him with egg on his face, and makes him look like an idiot. But your disrespect for facts and for evidence and the way you make stuff up and claim to believe the most idiotic things, which you can't possibly really believe if you have even half the brains you appear to have in your better posts, doesn't help your cause.

For a fan of two of the most well mannered and polite people in the sport today you really don't take after them. There's proof he had an injury you see when contracts and money are involved you need legitimate evidence of a legit reason to not go through with the contract. Haye was injured, three doctors confirmed he was injured - he's having surgery. That's the end of it. Nothing more to be said.

He'll certainly deserve a lot of props if he can beat Kotelnik, who's a much tougher opponent than a lot of people realise. But even if he manages to do that, it would still be too early to be gushing about him, because if he beats Kotelnik, claims to be a world champion, and then doesn't fight Ortiz, he would lose all the respect he'd just gained, in my book. So he'd deserve a lot of praise if he can win that fight, but still qualified praise, not gushing praise.
