Hatton needs to come back, bulk up to Heavyweight and dominate that division.

    Agreed?

Man he'll probably be on the piss and chilling.I hope he goes after another 140 belt holder just like Malignaggi who was supposed to be the closest rival in the division after the Mayweather loss.I think there's to much hate and doubt on Hatton. What's the shame in losing to a 140 belt holder.I wouldn't go any lower than that tho.If it's boxing and not about money and fans then why retire.Any true boxing fan should want want to see more big fights. He bounced back after a brutal 10 rounds with Floyd why not give him the benefit of the doubt and see if he can beat another 140 champion.

i think he should learn a thing or two from Calzaghe.... just walk away... sure calzone left undefeated, but sometimes thats harder to do than to walk away after a loss.... go take time with your fiance/wife and child and enjoy the health you've been able to maintain

The only reasons I think Hatton should retire is if it will effect his health. But from a boxing point of view there is no real proof he's shot.Ok he got ko'd in 1 round but that was off the best p4p fighter in the world and Hatton's always struggled with southpaws. He got floored off Eamonn MaGee rocked off Collazo and Urango hurt him plus he got beat off a German southpaw in the amatuers.Bounced back from a brutal 10 rds with Floyd and dominated the so called closest rival in the division at the time.I'v got to give him the benefit of the doubt from a non-biased point of view.I would like to see him going after another 140 belt holder.Just for more big fights , good for boxing .But will his fan base be effected.I still wouldn't give a f--k , a world title bouts a world title bout.Boxing needs more of them.

                  I think Hatton should retire.

His punch resistance has gone which was a big part of his style really.

D'you think so? I've read quotes saying that punch would have floored most welterweights

all joking aside, after losing to Mayweather and having two "throw away" fights vs Lazcano + Malignaggi look how arrogant Hatton was going into the Pacquiao fight. (i.e. all the excessive pre fight trash talk)

I wonder where Hatton is realistically in regards to how he feels in line with fighting for the Pound For Pound #1

after all the dust clears I mean.
We saw some signs during the Collazo fight, after the mayweather fight came what happened against another shot fighter in lazcano, who hasnt been the same since castillo battered him. Malignaggi was a good win, but Paulie i hate to say it, just doesnt have the power to be effective against him, not to mention, hatton actually showed up with Sr's gameplan. By the time pac got to him it was obvious his punch resistence was just no longer there. See thats the thing, its REALLY tough to say wether it was pacs power or hattons own immediate decline. The best way to tell this is by seeing how pacs continued fights above 135 go or if hatton fights again.
