If he has prepared then there is no way he is going to lose and that is what is in his mind so saying something like"even if I lose" does not matter because talking is not fighting and he is so confident in himself and his training that nothing happens until that night when they are both in the ring together.

Whereas some other fighters who may not be so confident couldn't utter the word "lose" to themselves or anyone else because it plants something in their mind.

I actually think this shows real confidence. The ability to look at all outcomes with any of it playing on the mind. That's true confidence.
I agree with you and i said it before. It's not that he's unsure it just Clottey being Clottey. This is a type of boxer that does his talking in the ring. Is the type of boxer that you can even get to like because he respect everybody but at the same time is a warrior that is willing to figh tanybody they put in front of him.

As a Cotto Fan and Puertorican i obviously want Cotto to win, but he will need to bring his A game and more to beat Clottey. I still think that Cotto boxing skills and hand quickness will guide him to a UD against Clottey but it will not be a easy and we should be witnessing a great fight between 2 warriors that only do there talking in the ring.

I just hope as a Puerto Rican that this doesn't turn out to be like Wrinky-Trinidad, because Wrinky seem unsure and sometimes even a little scared going into the fight, but when they were in the ring Wrinky proved that he had a perfect game plan and gave Trinindad a shutout.

That's why i say that Cotto will need to use his boxing skills because Clottey (as Wrinky) are really good defensive boxers, and can take a punches from any WW in the sport.

What up guys.... to me this is sometimes the best part of the fight.... the Friday before!

It's going to be a great fight that will tell us plenty about both fighters. However, I'm a bit surprise that so many folks are picking Clottey even to win via TKO. I may be somewhat bias, but I see Cotto as the most season, more versatile boxer of the two. The smart money has to go with Cotto and I expect him to show his caliber tomorrow.

Regarless, check this out is funny:

            Peace!

              Good points.

Winky was a proven champ with a style that will give fits to everyone at the time. He had beaten Mosely, and was an establish southpaw champion with lot's of experience. In the other hand, Tito was in a comeback out of his most effective weigth with a totally wrong game plan... and he paid for it by loosing every single round.

Clottey in the other hand, is a preassure fighter that stands in the pocket with a pick-a-boo style that rather waits until his opponent stops punching to launch his attack. Cotto, is not in a comeback an as a matter of fact has been more active than Clottey in the last two years.

I understand were you are comming from, but as you I hope that Cotto is well prepare and not intoxicated by the hype.... even though the hype seems to be around a Clottey victory if I read correctly in this forum.

              Peace!!!

Cotto is probably going to win it. He actually has more riding on this fight since it is the Puerto Rican Day Parade time of the year! He is probably pumped up and knows he has to represent. Clottey is a good guy and a good fighter but I think he is a little nervous to fight at Madison Square with a fighter like Cotto, his nerves will probably get the best him.

All this talk reminds me of Alfonso Gomez, Clottey is in for a long night.
