The thing about Ricans compared to Americans and Mexicans is that we don’t hold grudges like they do when their fighter loses. When Margarito lost to Mosley, Mexicans were over it like in a second. After Mosley lost to Cotto, Americans didn’t really care. But when Cotto/Tito/Gomez or who every it is from the island loses. They will make no stop excuses and belittle the fighter that beat their boy. They also have a emotional attraction to their fighters. When Cotto took those two cowardly knees, they literally lost a part of their soul and manliness. Their fighters are the only pride they have. When Tito got owned and shamed by Hopkins, the hospitals in Puerto Rico reported a 100% jump in depression cases. That is who bad it is on the island.
