So in your opinion Clottey dosen't have a legit Ko in 5 years?

I did some research on Clottey and I came up with this

1 ko (Jose Luis Cruz) in 5 years

15 of his 20 ko came over opponents that had a combine record of 3-23

I mean this guy is not a power puncher.

Cotto will beat the hell out of Clottey

He is an accumulation puncher. But he had Corrales hurt from a straight right in the first round. Regardless, of the condition Corrales was in, a feather fisted fighter doesn't hurt or stun guys like that. He had Margarito stunned in the 3rd or 4th round, but it wasn't serious. The punch was awkward and Margarito never saw it coming. I think Cotto will box against Clottey.

That's correct, but it does not reflect his ability to hurt anyone in the ring. Rather his ability to knock them out or finish them.

He has to box because if he trades his chin will leave him for dead.

We live in a world where if you don't have an 80% ko record you are feather fisted. It is a shame.

People were trying to tell me Kendal Holt couldn't punch, and that Bradley would be the one to drop him. I told them you can't look at the man's record, you have to look at his fights, because he had Torres hurt in the first fight a few times, before he himself was dropped. His fight with Diaz showed his knockout power was tricky and deceiving. Ever since he got knocked out in that first round, he concentrated on boxing rather than dropping guys, after.

clottey is not a power puncher, nor does he punch harder than cotto, nor is his workrate comparable to margo's.

what he does have is good counterpunching, a tight defense, and he's big for a WW. Not sure that is enough to beat cotto in MSG.
