im a cotto fan but im also fair when it comes to tough fights like this one, clottey is a good tough fighter but his long layoff leaves a big cloud on my opinion for the fight. people wanna talk about cotto is a sucker for the uppercut true but no1 wants to talk about clottey dropping his left when throwing rights and also a sucker for the left hook. go back to the corrales fight and see diego starting to land it around the 3rd round and even stunned him in the 4th. thats cottos trademark now the question is whos signature punch will be more potent.

This is true, Corrales did land hooks with either hand during those rounds when he was on the inside. Clottey is also wide with his hooks at times, which can allow him to be countered. I don't think he was ever stunned though, he gassed out around the 4th round.

im making a bold prediction that cotto wins easily, cotto can hit, imo much harder than margarito,and is very precise clotty isnt as relentless as margarito doesnt have the same output therefore cottos tendency to fade late wont come into play,cotto hits harder than clotty has much better accurracy and smarts clottey will be tough but i dont think hes quite as polished.

He deserves this shot but he will not defeat Cotto with a Good Defense. I don't know but i think Clottey slows down in the late rounds and he would need to press Cotto all the fight to win. Honestly, he will not be able to stop Cotto.

Clottey isn't exactly a workhorse 24/7 although he does have moments like that.

Ideally that's his chance because he's not gonna win sitting back with a high guard and getting jabbed and hooked to death.

Nope, I am not sure if it's the weight or what. After the early rounds, he fights in spurts. The only exception I can think of is the fight with Judah, where he didn't do much in the beginning.
