I was thinking the exact same thing...and this scenario would be the most fair. The question is can it be done or will the egos get in the way.Comment

Also since Floyd's main motivating factor appears to be greed, he should be very easy to negotiate with, he will want the max possible he can get and not a penny less but once he thinks he has got the best possible deal he is likely to accept.
I would rather negotiate with greedy people every day over people with other ideal driving them, greed is very easy to understand and deal with but higher ideals can be very hard to deal with because if you can't see through their eyes (which even if you understand the way they think, that may not really give you enough insight) it is very hard to appease someone.

I also think that Manny's only real bargaining chip is Cotto. If Cotto wins they can use that although I don't think they would fight Cotto. If he loses the only other big money option is Mosley and lets face it. 1. I don't think they want Mosley. 2. I don't think Pac makes half of what he does agains May by fighting Mosley. Also, Golden Boy would likely be involved in either fight and I think they know there is more money in a May Pac bout. Plus the winner could face Mosley and GBP would still be involved and make a lot more money. If Mosley fights Pac and wins he could still fight May but that takes all of the money from May and Pac together out of the equation and GBP will not let that happen!! Put it like this. GBP will make the final decision on Mosley. Would they rather have May/Pac followed by May or Pac/Mosley OR Pac/Mosley followed by May/Mosley? It's all politics and a numbers game and GBP will convince Mosley to wait and fight the winner, I believe. They do not want to miss out on the payday for the biggest fight possible between Mayweather and Pacquiao.Last edited by jrv1932; 06-11-2009, 02:30 PM.Comment

I sincerely tried to understand what you were saying, but I completely failed. Also since Floyd's main motivating factor appears to be greed, he should be very easy to negotiate with, he will want the max possible he can get and not a penny less but once he thinks he has got the best possible deal he is likely to accept.

You would rather deal with greedy people?
I would rather deal with someone who has LEGACY on their mind rather than Money.. because then they are more willing to make the fight happen, because the fight itself is more important than the money split.Comment

Pac should just leave Arum.
He's a big enough name.
He should get off Uncle Bob's lap and stop being a little asian Cooly.
Say what you will about Floyd..he had the nuts and savvy to strike-out on his own.Comment

I dont know what, if anything, this had to do with my post, but Pac is boxer not a business man. as long as he's making great fights and he's happy with what he earns then who gives a ****.Comment
