Floyd could give a **** about fighting Pac.

    Which disgusts me.
Pac is definitely the more likely to give up his share...
But if the rumors are true that it could be Pac's last fight, it may be a bit more difficult to persuade him to drop his demands...
The only fight I can see after this, would be a defeated Pac facing Marquez.

I think a legacy fight with Floyd is more important to Pac then just money... I think he feels it would top off his entire career and the way he has been talking... It seems like he is willing to do what it takes to make the fight.

as long as floyd comes down a little from 40-60...

I could see pac taking 45-55 or 48-52... just for the sake of getting the chance to beat Floyd

Arum is irrelevant at this point.

HBO will have him murdered if he dares to intervene with this mega matchup.

I would love to see a statement from Floyd demanding 50.1%..."I gotta get dum numbers"

If Mayweather beats Marquez decisively, then they both would have a claim at p4p#1 and they should split it 50/50. If he doesn't then he shouldn't expect half.

Pacqiuao/Hatton was 52-48 in favour of pacquiao, And i agree with Reed pacquiao would make more sacrifices just to make the Mayweather fight happen than Floyd himself, If Mayweather doesnt get more than Pacquiao then he wouldnt give a toss if the fight doesnt happen which is a big shame.

First of all negotiations have not even started yet as Floyd still has a fight in the way. Second when you start negotiation you always start off with lofty demands, why? because if you do not you can not max out what you make, if you start out asking for 52% you can't ask for 60% if the other side jumps on that offer quickly. Third if the whole Manny only wants Floyd thing is true, his negotiating power is hurt badly, to have barginning power you need options (as soon as somone realizes they are negotiating against themself basically).

Now they need each other to make the most possible money for both sides, I tend to think that Floyd is more concerned with the overall ammount he is getting as opposed to the purse split (Floyd does always bring up how people always get their biggest pay day against him, so he has never really been against the guy across from him getting paid also) but Floyd would probably never accept the short end of the purse although I do not know how he would react to purse parity, he might tell them to get bent or it might have enough zeros that he just accepts, tough to say until negotiations really start.

We're talking about Floyd Mayweather here, if he loses to Marquez, he'll still be demanding 60-40.
