Doesn't matter what anyone says or why they said it,
he crossed the line into the welterweight division.
Now he needs to fight the welterweights and if he doesn't, hes just as chicken**** as Mayweather.
I don't care about why he went there.Comment

Not to detract completely from Manny's win over Oscar, even though I think we all agree De la Hoya was a weight-drained zombie in that ring, but has anyone else wondered how long Oscar would've lasted against an somewhat fast, legit welterweight that same night? I mean, we know Pacquiao has carried some pop with him to the higher weights, that's his saving grace, but what if one of the real dynamite punchers had gotten in the ring that night? Even a Cotto. I think, possibly, rather than being battered Oscar might have been knocked clean unconscious RJJ style.
But anyway, yes, I completely agree. Manny is too small to compete effectively at 147, and possibly even junior welterweight to boot.Comment

Y'all have to remember that pac said he will have at most two more fights then it will be goodbye to boxing and hello to politics. He needs to maximize his incomes in his last two fights and he will find them only in the welterweight division... at catch weights of course LOL.Comment

Many people, myself included, felt that more than one of the top 5 welters would have beaten DLH when he fought Floyd. Its not secret he was a part time fighter with stamina issues. That doesn't bode well against prime, full time, hungry fighters. We seen how gassed Oscar was in that fight by the sixth round, and Floyd wasn't putting pressure on him. Cotto, Margarito and Williams would have mauled him.Not to detract completely from Manny's win over Oscar, even though I think we all agree De la Hoya was a weight-drained zombie in that ring, but has anyone else wondered how long Oscar would've lasted against an somewhat fast, legit welterweight that same night? because he doesn't belong at 147.
pac can beat berto, but not cotto if cotto is a middleweight on fight night and pac is a welterweight on fight night. He'd beat Berto and is more then capable of beating Cotto. So I can't agree with what your saying.
yes, pac has no business fighting the best WWs without some kind of leveling of the field.
vasquez, juanma and other small fighters have no business fighting pac.
only jmm has business w/ pac.
fight pbf, fight jmm, retire.
I wouldn't count him out either, but that doesn't mean he should fight them. Pac is too small for WW.We all know Pacquiao isn't gonna fight Bradley or Ortiz. Mayweather was in that same position, Pacquiao should move up and I wouldn't count him out against the best WWs.
pac has a chance if the playing field is leveled, but he shouldn't be campaigning at 147 anyways. He is more then capable of beating Cotto, Clottey and Mayweather, as for Shane...I've played that one in my head so many times, I see Pacquiao getting killed.

true, but legit WWs shouldn't be begging pac for a fight either. that makes them look whorish.
pac just went into the kitchen to steal a cookie, he never intended to cook a meal.
uh... pac officially weighed 138 lbs against hatton. floyd hasn't weighed 138 lbs in 5+ years. I think pac gets a pass.
uh... oscar came down from 154 lbs. Pac didn't move up to fight oscar at 154 lbs. If not for that fact, I would agree with you.If he can fight Oscar there fight them all there.
yes, it does matter
so, shane moved up to 154 and came back down 147. pwill can fight at 147 lbs if he wants to. just cause he fought at 160 lbs doesn't mean pwill has to stay at 160 lbs.he crossed the line into the welterweight division.
but people call floyd chicken****t rightfully or wrongly because floyd campaigns at WW and won't fight elite WWs. Pac campaigns at jr WW. 2 different circumstances. Now he needs to fight the welterweights and if he doesn't, hes just as chicken**** as Mayweather.
and that's why your opinion doesn't matterI don't care about why he went there.
yep, 2 more fights, pbf and jmm, then retire. he doesn't need to fight cotto or mosley.Y'all have to remember that pac said he will have at most two more fights then it will be goodbye to boxing and hello to politics. He needs to maximize his incomes in his last two fights and he will find them only in the welterweight division... at catch weights of course LOL.Comment
