I said this the other day, stop calling out welters and demanding catchweights, either go up to 147 or piss off!
Manny has no business at 147lbs

With ease? WTF?? You do realize that Shane has a fricken iron jaw, right? Unless he ages overnight, or Pac has him melt down to 140 or some ridiculous sht, Shane isn't getting stopped. And Pac better avoid that power for 12 long rounds.Comment

Couldn't agree more, reason why I can't see Pacquiao beating SSM unless it is at a catch weight of 142 or even 144.Comment

The thing is Pacquiao is the one that says he's willing to fight Cotto, Mayweather or Mosley, who are legit welterweights. So if he has no business being at 147, he shouldn't be considering 147 pound fighters to fight.Comment

Manny crossed the line into the welterweight division.
If he didn't want to face the heat, he shouldn't have went into the kitchen.Comment

When was the last time Pac fought at the catchweight? Answer please.
Where's the links? or any proof that you can show will do other wise just piss off!Last edited by whirlwind; 06-10-2009, 11:25 PM.Comment

That kitchen held the ticket for money and marketable fame... I'd say it was a good crossing. Even before the fight Roach said that this was a one time thing. People choose to ignore that.Comment

Now when I say business, I do not mean $$$ because sure there is plenty to be found there. I mean, so many people are aching to see him face a legit 147lber based on his Oscar win. Well you know, he's not a real welterweight. He looked small in the ring against Oscar even coming in 1 or 2lbs more than Oscar. Oscar's body was still the frame of a middleweight. Manny's only intention on jumping to the weight was for the Oscar fight because lets get real, it was Oscar. It brought an international doorway to fame and $$$. With that established, he could go back down where he really belongs which obviously 135lbs is out of the question so he'll stick to 140lbs. The only true fights remaining for him are Marquez and Floyd Jr.(unfinished business and best of this era) Anyone else disagree, please discuss?Comment
