There should be no controversy over the Hopkins-fights. It's impossible to score the fight in Hopkin's favour.
This is the type of insecurity that makes Calzaghe fans look bad.

Playing the victim is a weak stance.

Floyd Mayweather Jr P4P the most hated boxer on this board and most likely on the planet is a Yank with a better legacy than Calzaghe.

Calzaghe is a very talented fighter with good skills.

He did not destroy Hopkins though, That fight could of went either way and his win over Jones, is over a past it Roy Jones.

His wins over Kessler, Lacy and Eubank are good wins.

The Hopkins win is his best win imo, even though it wasn't his best performance and he arguably lost.

I discriminate Calslappy for being more boring than a snail eating. Calslappy's opposition, as well as the time frame of fights explains itself. He retires after saying that he's got nothing to prove when he never proved anything to begin with. Pass.

No serious boxing fan would diss Calzaghe as genuine boxing people tend to have more respect and more sense. Two things though. First, he didnt destroy Hopkins,it was a close fight,he won it but it was close.

Secondly, whilst it was obvious to anyone with a pair of eyes that Roy isnt the fighter he was, its pathetic ****ting on Calzaghes win over him because, as beatable as he may be, there isnt many fighters who could have beaten him in the manner Joe did even at this stage of his career.

Put simply,Joe was a great boxer.

No word about beating them BARELY, in THEIR 40's, and refusing to EVER fight a a real threat in their primes. All you have is Lacy and Kessler, one is still in Denmark and the other just lost to Taylor lol. Joe Calzaghe is a one trick pony but his trick is an old one, the Sven Ottke one of the Rocky Marciano one. He will never get undeserved credit. You expect him to be rated higher than Mosley who defeated, while out of his prime, a legit, younger WW champion in his prime? Or Mayweather who whooped people left and right winning belts in 5 weight classes? I see Ricky Hatton could have been Joe Calzaghe, easily. All he had to do was stay away from prime Mayweather and Pacquiao. Fight someone else who's been shot to bits and be content. He did that by fighting Castillo but he wasn't content so he blew it for you guys, who really don't give a ****' **** about truth in sports if you guy get ranked. Ridiculous! Grow up and smell the coffee kid, Joe is fooling NO ONE. We seen it all before.

No serious boxing fan would diss Floyd..But you do all the time.

There is NOTHING great about Joe..deep down you know it.

Great fighters do great things..Joe did NOTHING great in his entire career.

If Joe is great then so is Sven Ottke.
