I didn't read the article...did it mention uppercuts? Watch Clottey's fight against Diego Corrales and how frequently he landed the uppercut and how effective it was. That's his key to beating cotto imo, throw that punch dozens of times a round and cotto will get hurt.

I still got cotto by UD, but it's definitely possible clottey can win.

Yes and he landed an unusual amount of uppercuts against Zab too.

lol article is so ****ing sad......

#1 he makes the triangle theory with margarito, but dismisses the judah fight to push his agenda, lol.....not to mention the blatant broken hand lie...clottey himeslf said it was just bruised.

#2 he says margo-mosley-torres rocked him with left hooks....wrong, margo did it with uppers, mosley did it with overhand rights(and didnt eve really rock him good), torres is the only one to have rocked him with left hooks(and it was more combiantions...left hooks, right hands and uppers, moreover, torres usually got the worse of it when hooking with the hooker cotto).....judah rocked him with left uppers and corley did it with a left to the temple...but both are southpaws.....

#3 he says clottey does more damage late, when in fact he is a notorious fader...not to mention complacent and lazy....

            2) counterpunching: the thing is if cotto goes into potshot mode, he will give clottey less countering opportunities and then cotto wins a decision based on activity because clottey will be waiting all night to counter.

            3) defense: definitley, clottey has a better defense

            4) chin: clottey has never been rocked as far as I know, this goes to clottey.

            5) stamina: both guys fade, but cotto's fade is pretty drastic and noticable. I gotta give clottey the edge on this too, because his style is very relaxed.

although i gave clottey 3 of 5, I also believe cotto has the "it" factor that the judges and crowd will favor.

close fight but cotto wins a close decision victory.
watch the Baldomir fight. It looked like Baldomir rocked him around round 8. Clottey did recover but it was noticeable. I believe Clottey was caught by one of those Baldomir rights and then effectively put up the guard until he recovered. I think this fight will strip away a lot of the talk about Clotteys durability. He basically gained this image against Tony Margacheato but I remember Margarito almost pulling put of the fight due to a badly sprained ankle suffered in sparring and then of course Margarito had actually hurt both of his hands in that fight. At the end of the fight you can see Margarito was really slapping with punches probably because of the pain in his hands(the cement pad must have worked its way out of position).

Well of course Clottey can win this fight. I just don't think he will. It said the scariest rounds of Cotto's career were against Mosley and Margarito at the end. Of course you have to agree with Margarito since he got TKOd, but I'd say that the Corley and definitely Torres fights provided scarier moments for Miguel than his fight against Mosley.

I just think that Cotto is a better fighter than Clottey.

Clottey is a solid boxer, very good defensively!!He is big, strong and very durable!!Quite frankly I'm surprise that everyone thinks Cotto wins this easy, but not me!!!!Cotto is more popular and has exceptional skill, but Clottey is all bad for Cotto,Cotto has problems with fighters that apply more pressure than he does, because he gasses late!!!Yes Clottey does apply pressure,he comes forward all night behind that tight guard countering, unrelenting, stalking,Winky style, very bad matchup for the Rican champ!!!!Clottey wins this,to the surprise of many, but not me!!!

The Judah that Clottey faced was much better than the Judah that Cotto faced.

Besides, Judah as hurting Cotto and on the verge of a 10 - 8 round before Cotto started landing his usual low-blows.

All I know is that Ive never seen Cotto fans so defensive, which means fear. I think its an even fight.
