Floyd and Cotto have both fought their share of weak fighters...Cotto has a better resume at 147. Floyd's is better P4P tho
Could Mayweather get away with fighting Miguel Cottons opponents?

Ironically at that point, Gomez was a more popular fighter than Baldomir because of the contender series (take it for what it is I guess). Hell, I'd even take Gomez over Baldomir. The guy made a career off beating Zab Judah and getting completely outclassed by Floyd Mayweather, nothing more nothing less.
atleast baldomir would've forced cotto to recognize that he just couldn't war with guys with indestructible chins and to conserve his energy for later rounds.
I Would've loved to have read those threads about Jones getting KTFO by Tarver. Seems so long ago.Comment

like floyd for a long time. ppl say he ducked certain fighters but if u look at where those fighters were at the time floyd was in the division u will clearly see he never ducked anyone. he fought those who were the best guys at the time. then when lots of talent came his way he retired..which was the only bad move of his career.Comment

the question was could floyd get away with taking soft tune ups.. and the answer is no.
alot of fighters do it and get away with it, floyd could never do that.
1. because there are too many haters who would say hes ducking evrybody and anybody.
2. unless the public thinks there is a good chance floyd is gon get his ass whupped pretty much nobody except his fanboys watch the fight.
i mean they had DLH.forbes on 24/7 for ffs. floyd couold never get that kind of interest by his own self.Comment
