He is going to regret this decision when he is broke and penniless in some broke down joint in the Philippines....no lie....

pac should fulfill his media obligations, that's part of the "job" of being the face of boxing.

I know that his heart is truly w/ the phillipines, but he needs to be a good ambassador of the phillipines and fulfill his obligaitons and accept his role as the face of not only boxing but of the phillipines.

getting on CBS and getting a Time mag spread are huge publicity. by not attending pac only hurts himself. Pac can diss the cotto/clottey fight, but he needs to make it to the CBS early show and do the time mag spread.

this is the problem of having a foreigner as the face of boxing I'm afraid.

Um, for all intent and purposes, Pacman had no choice to but to accept Hatton's financial terms. He is/was the bigger draw.

Sure every body in the Philippines and their dead ancestry was going to watch the fight, but it's also like free over there. Over a million people in the UK bought the fight, thousands flew over to the US. Vegas was like an adopted home.

Now the tides are different and it's a changed landscape where he now commands the attention. If he wants to keep it up, then he needs to fulfill his promises.

Your wondering why Arum is panicking...he put alot of work to bring Pac up. He turned Pac into what he is, promotionally speaking and he's peaked. You only have a limited time to truly set yourself up in this world before you are forgotten. Not everyone can have the marketing lifespan of a De La Hoya or Tyson

Lets not forget Arum wanted him to also attend the fight on Saturday at MSG and sit ringside with him to scout Cotto has a possible next opponent.

After reading reports coming out of Pac's camp (Roach) and hearing his thoughts on this fight and him once again picking against a Puerto Rican
fighter,(Juanma was the first) saying he thinks Clottey will win and having
Arum pressure him in selecting Cotto said, *** that Manny you don't need
to go because you won't be fighting Cotto anyway. Cotto is going to lose.

                  Just my conspiracy theory.

I feel the same. I thinks he feels Cotto is a bigger risk with les reward.

He would rather go for Mayweather because he thinks he stands a good chance at winning. I personally think out of MOsley Cotto and Mayweather he can only beat Mayweather.
