If push comes to shove he should just bring his kids with him, still though being the fighter of the year is a big honor that I'm sure every boxer dreams of being in that position. If he doesn't come that's like a slap on the face to that award and the boxing writers.

Why doesn't Pacman just take his family on vaction to New York, they have even cut prices at the Waldorff. Wouldn't that be a really simple solution, I mean he would have some obligations but not like those would take up all his time (plus he is more likely to get peace and quiet in the US, I reckon).

The media is a very fickle beast, need to treat them with care.

Pacquiao hyping up a fight by not hyping himself up? that makes no sense..
& CBS (a main cable network) coverage would be great for Pacquiao.
People who normally don't watch boxing will be watching.
He can't miss this ****.. It'll come back to bite him in the butt when he is trying to get something from the boxing writers he turned his back on too.

There's some friction right now between Arum and Pac.
Hopefully it'll sort itself out, and Pac realizes he shouldn't spite
the boxing press just to make a point to Arum.

Pacquiao is a god in his country. Pacquiao is adored by his people worldwide. He is a global icon. Do you really think that he cares for the media attention in the US? For what? A few more buys for a few more dollars, which pale to what he makes through sponsors and his business ventures? Please just look at the big picture, he doesn't need or care for it. He's earned the right to go where he wants?

Unlike most fighters he isn't in it for just the money & fame. He's in it for his country, for his people. He's a symbol of hope, no amount of money can buy you that kind of accalation.

I agree. He HAS to go. I mean it is the recognition of all your hard work. Well... looks like its all downhill from here guys... sad to say he probably loses which ever fight he takes next against the odds of Mayweather, Cotto, or Mosley... I don't see how he can even compete with those three. But since its Pac I will always watch no matter who he is up against..

There was a time when your word was your bond, he reneged on Mosley now this.

Boxing is a crazy sport ,some guy is going to try and put Arum on the phone with Manny. These guys work together and yet they cant get in touch with work related issues.Reminds me of Mayweather Sr,the last time he would see DelaHoya would be after the fight and they would go months without being in touch. The next time he would hear would be through DelaHoya's team when they would be arranging another fight.

Is this the normal way of doing business or these guys are strange fellows, cant stand each other but have to work with each other or they are just plain too busy and business is done that way
