Yes, the award means something to his career, and it would be great to honor his accomplishments among his peers, but he may have a better reason why he's choosing not to attend.

He may decide to attend after all, after giving it some serious thought.

Going to Bohol for a vacation with his family is just an excuse for Pac.....Sunday morning in the Philippines is the fight and Monday the next day is the start of School for his kids.......Island hopping for his kids would be tiresome.

Manny's fame may have gotten to his head. He thinks he's on top and special and could control the media and dictate what he want's. He may be meek and humble but he acts like a king!

FAME WITHOUT THE MEDIA IS NOTHING!

So PAC, STOP acting like a spoiled brat! It's just a few days to attend to your commitments and responsibilty to the boxing community. You owe them your fame eventhough you shed your blood for it. Do that, and they will love you more for it!!!

honestly, pac is entitled to go where ever he wants, BUT if he has media obligations he should fulfill them. He isn't just coming to NYC for the FOTY award or to support mayol's boxing match, he's also got a spread in time magazine, the Early show on cbs and some other stuff. so pac should man up and just get his ass over here and take a vacation after that.
