Who knows? The guy may have a premonition about something.

He probably knows Arum is going to try and get him to sign for a Cotto fight.

Maybe he had a not so great time when he received the first award.

Has anybody thought about the possibility of, heavens forbid, something being wrong with that plane?

Haven't there been people at the height of their life and careers who we suddenly don't see or hear from again because something tragic happened? Has anybody thought about that?

Yes, the award means something to his career, and it would be great to honor his accomplishments among his peers, but he may have a better reason why he's choosing not to attend.

He may decide to attend after all, after giving it some serious thought.

We'll have to wait and see.

Manny's fame may have gotten to his head. He thinks he's on top and special and could control the media and dictate what he want's. He may be meek and humble but he acts like a king!

FAME WITHOUT THE MEDIA IS NOTHING!

So PAC, STOP acting like a spoiled brat! It's just a few days to attend to your commitments and responsibilty to the boxing community. You owe them your fame eventhough you shed your blood for it. Do that, and they will love you more for it!!!

IN TAGALOG........WAG KA NA MAG PA FEELING ESPESYAL PA!!! SIKAT KA NA EH!!!
you expect too much from pacquiao

Being a global star is not all it's cracked up to be.

          Just ask Bruce Lee.

He isn't just coming to NYC for the FOTY award or to support mayol's boxing match, he's also got a spread in time magazine, the Early show on cbs and some other stuff. so pac should man up and just get his ass over here and take a vacation after that.
My humor of the moment,I repeat:

Manny Pacquiao is the best of this era.
If Mayweather stops Marquez and beats Pacquiao, but doesn't fight Cotto,Mosley,Manny is still the best of this era altough he lost to Floyd, cuz Floyd is just too big for Marquez and Manny.
Many has beaten big dudes but they weren't P4P fighter.

Floyd is bigger and a P4P opponent. It's maybe too much...

A good big man always beat a good small man.

Even,a good big man often beat a small great...

Manny began boxin as a flyweight,Floyd as a superfeatherweight.
There are 4 divisions between these two.
145 is 8 divisions north of flyweights.

Manny has beaten great fighters in their prime to be considered as great(Barrera X2,morales X2,Marquez X2),now everything is a bonus(Oscar,Hatton...) for lil big dude.
I hear sometimes both Barrera and Morales were old but in their first meetin with pac,Barrera was 29,Morales 28.Funny Gayfeather's hoes.

            Roy too:Hopkins,Hill,Toney.

            Floyd not:Corrales,Hatton,Judah,Chop chop,Oscar(old).
            How these opponents are greats??

            Our era:

            1.Pac Man
            2.Jones jr
            3.Floyd May or Hopkins.

Taking on the plight of a whole country and it's people to uplift them is no small task.

The demand for his time is probably stressing him out.

When you're very good at what you do and the world is aware of it, time flies by too fast.

To pull out this late just doesn't fly. Bad move.

LOL! I guess you didn't pay attention to his last 2 purse negotiations.
