Gatti could withstand the punishment for a while being that he came in as a light middleweight, gatti is bigger stornger and punches harder then marquez, mayweather had a little respect for gatti's power, where as we won't with marquez and will really give him a beating.

Gatti led with his chin. Marquez is one of the cleverest counter-punchers in the sport. That's a ridiculously superficial analysis. It will be a chess match, which Floyd should win but he won't give him a beating.

Floyd couldnt even "gatti" Hatton who was just lunging in all night and leaving himself open. Marquez is one of the greatest counter punchers of all time, with good handspeed and accuracy and there is a reason he is number 2 p4p. He's much more skilled then both Gatti and Hatton. Not saying Floyd wont beat him, but he isnt going to "gatti" him.

If Mayweather is gonna Gatti JMM, then PBF fans might want to start worrying that Floyd's hands don't get brittle and break or something from landing so many punches.

Floyd could hit Gatti all night blindfolded and not get hit back. JMM figures to land some punches, which Floyd won't like... thus he probably won't go into Gatti mode.

Even though Manny KO of Hatton was a beauty and impressive it cant be regarded as a beating, The fight only last two rounds so i wouldnt really call it a beating.

A beating is when you get taken 12 rounds and you get beat all the way..Like Ali use to do in his earlier days.

Hatton was an unbeaten fighter when Floyd beat him and stronger , its a different ballgame once the egg has been cracked , Floyd had Hatton figured out before the fight started he had to bide his time because of Hattons strength and bull rushing , Hatton was frightened to give Floyd punching room his own corner was telling him he is smothering himself , its funny you say Manny gave him a beating when Hatton said it wasnt like he was dominated for 10 rounds , Hatton didnt know what hit him with Manny and was just blown out , thats not a beating , Floyd destroyed Hatton mentally and Manny finished the job physically .

To the topic JMM is a great fighter with better boxing skills than Gatti , Floyd is a little bigger 4-6 pound actually which is nothing really , if Floyd can dominate JMM while Manny struggled with him its because Floyd is that good not some dreamed up reasoning from a Floyd hater , I think it will be a competitive fight as the layoff surely will figure in somewhere Floyd has got to start aging sooner or later all the while JMM is fight fit hungry and in great form , being the underdog makes JMM very dangerous because he has nothing to lose , im looking forward to the fight and wont say where Floyd is at right now untill after I see him in this .

Beating Gatti wasn't some big achievement, He was totally shot and wasn't on Mayweathers level even if he wasn't.
