As I've said elsewhere I don't see Sturm-Pavlik coming off as I think these preliminaries is merely for Pavlik to postition himself in the AA negotiations which has some haste to it because of AA's weight-troubles.

Still should Sturm-Pavlik get made I think it will be a very good fight. People here underestimate the german big time.
Sturm is definitely capable, but I think Pavlik's laser would get in there. Kelly needs to get in the ring with some people with some skill. we know he can blast out no-hopers, comeforward brawlers, and mediocre to average boxers. He needs work against good boxers, that's why I thought the Mora was a good fight, because the risk was low for Kelly.

Sturm would test him, but at a much greater risk than Mora. I just believe he won't fight him, I'll tell you what I tell the Floydstans. Sturm might talk about it but he don't be about it. He never seems to step it up.

Sturm for sure ducked Abraham which didn't look good. I think the endresult in this will be Pavlik-AA and Sturm-Mundine. Both good fights.

Sturm / Pavlik not sure this fight will happen. Sturm does posses the skills to beat Pavlik, He has good movement, very well conditioned fighter (remember what he did to De la Hoya)! De La Hoya is a far better boxer than Pavlik, i honestly would have loved to see Pavlik against Mora. Don't sleep on Mora, he is pretty good, Pavlik can only beat in your face fighter, no one slick. Look at all the smack they where talking ahead of the hopkins fight, and where blown out the water (reality check) Pavlik went into the fight stating, I know we are going to win this fight, but we need to stop him (arrogant) There is a reason why bernard hopkins is 44 and still elite (he doesn't get hit - period) Mora doesn't get hit as much, sturm's only weakness is his chin, but i think his skill set will carry him through. AA would be good because he would **** with Pavlik, but he also has pretty decent movement. Once the cat is out the bag about a fighter, you need to get help in training, go back to basics, hit tires with sledgehammers etc, is not going to help you connect on someone's jaw! he needs to bring in better knowledgeable people to assist Jack loew period if he care about his career.

Sturm needsto make this fight happen, even my intrest in him is wanning, his sub-par-ish performances and lack of effort trying to get back to the top is making it hard to be a fan, woulda be great if he could win this fight too, he has the boxing ability and the quickness, stay away from the power sturm

Bernard Hopkins is not just some decent boxer-puncher, he is a Hall of Famer, in fact a high-level one. Pavlik moved up two weight classes for that fight and was ill leading up to it. In any event, guys like Sturm and Mora are not even in the same universe as Bernard Hopkins... it's laughable to suggest that anyone with a bit of boxing ability can beat Pavlik. It takes a LOT of ability to do so- more than probably anyone at 160 has and at most a few at SMW (though Pavlik would be competitive even then).

Pavlik is a physically huge middleweight with tremendous strength, despite his wiry appearance. Abraham stands a decent chance due to his chin and good punching ability but no one else at 160 has a realistic shot. If Sturm is dumb enough to get in the ring with Pavlik, it will be the same story as most of his opponents... they'll talk a big game and soon as they get hit, go into full-speed reverse.

pavlik needs to wake the **** up and relize that the only fight that makes a **** at MW is the AA fight,

i dont even care about pavlike till he fight AA,
              i think he's duckin' him.

Hold on to your Pavlik dreams, I was on the band wagon for a minute, but WHO the hell has he fought? Name me some slick fighters he's fought? (don't say jermain lack of training ass taylor). Pavlik is a white mexican fighter!!! comes fwd, no head movement, no foot work. I think mora has a shot (very slick) no comparison to hopkins, but similar styles as far as elusiveness. I also think Pavlik is having some confidence issues. Don't get me wrong he can fight / ****. But can he box? can he make you miss? can he make adjustments? (pavlik / loew) issue. Bandwagon bastards, that is why arum is not making these fights, yes he will keep pavlik signed to top rank (the boy has a major fan base). But why did he not make the mora fight? Dunkin, Pavlik's manager said the infection was gone, and they where ready and able to defend by the 25th. Arum has been in the game 40 years - he knows it inside and out - Mora's style is too risky for Pavlik period. Mora has a fan base and he won a belt from Vernon Forest (the first man to give SSM his first 2 losses).

When Pavlik wanted to fight a few weeks ago and Arum called it off, he wants to fight Abraham, and Arum keeps making other fights, talking of others, delaying it's becoming increasingly clear to me it's Arum whose the problem here.

Especially when he was saying maybe AA in Dec, Jan, then a week later he says Feb, he's running it out whilst Pavlik and Dunkin are talking of these fights and wanting to damn well fight.

No doubt in my mind, Abrahams only at MW for Kelly, and Arum is the main problem here.

I remember when Kelly was scoring those big knockouts as he was coming up, and then almost decapitating JT, how high I was on the kid as I'm sure some of you guys were. That seems like a hundred years ago. The bloom is definately off the rose. I wonder if Bernard took something from him that night - something permanent. He looked not so great against Rubio and I think Mora has a chance of out-boxing him. I won't write him off as the elite at 160 yet, but I hope he comes up with a great performance in his next fight. He needs it.

I just want to see the ONLY fight at 160 worth seeing.

                      AA v Pavlik.
Abraham? You mean that bum who had to go the full 12 rounds with Lajuan Simon? LOL.

Who cares who Pavlik fights anyway? Pavlik was already exposed by a 42 year old BHop. Imagine what a prime BHop would have done to him, or even a 38 year old BHop. Pavlik is the worst middleweight "champion" in boxing history except for maybe Jermain Taylor. The REAL middleweight champion was crowned two months ago, he beat the second best middleweight Winky Wright. Pavlik might be lineal but his fights are meaningless sideshows. Paul Williams is the only middleweight who matters and he would tear any one of the three stooges apart.
