I agree, and Sturm could beat Abraham too.pure boxing skills Sturm > Pavlik&Abraham. but out of the 3 he also have least power and suspect chin.
Pavlik has his work rate and power, and Abrahams' one punch KO power is ****ing scary. But fighting smart Sturm could beat both of them IMO

Pavlik vs Sturm: Pavlik KO or Sturm UD
Pavlik vs Abraham: Palvik UD or Abraham KO
Abraham vs Sturm: Abraham KO or Sturm UD

Could Sturm win? Possibly. But this fight won't take place because Sturm doesn't want to fight somebody with a punch like Pavlik and his promoters are afraid to lose one of their cash cows. He makes really good money beating up second-rate opposition in Germany and Pavlik and Abraham will eventually move up.

Both Sturm and Abraham are content to hang around Germany fighting joke competition. Abraham isn't quite as bad- once and so often he fights someone with a pulse. The constant talk of him being "weight drained" is ridiculous- if its so bad, freakin' move to 168, which is one of the best divisions in boxing. Of course, that would present a problem for Abraham: he could no longer duck any kind of decent opposition and blame it on the state of the division.

Abraham would have a significantly better shot against Pavlik, compared to Sturm. Sturm is a much better technical boxer than either and is a very solid fighter overall. But against Pavlik its too much of a physical mismatch... Pavlik is both much taller and much stronger. With Sturm v. Abraham, at least Sturm would have a height advantage, though he would still be at a strength disadvantage.

the title is misleading, they just say we would like sturm or aa, but it doesnt say anything about actually making the fight.

Sturm is a very good boxer, and if his chin holds up he could ud kelly. Abraham is a big puncher, but has **** workrate, is not much in the skill dept, and is not nearly as good as many claim. I would like to see pavlik fight both fellas, since they both have straps. Both fights are fine with me.

Losing to Castilejo is inexcusable..you can pull names out your ass all day..that won't change any facts.

Pavlik v AA is the ONLY fight to be made at 160 and it's not happening because BOTH guys are DUCKING.

Why all the hate for Floyd and none for Pavlik and AA.???

                  Oh

                  That's right.
You are sooo blind. Notice we are all talking about MW's fighting MW's? Also, we are talking about fighters who do not have a recent history of being ducks. Pavlik recently went up to 170 to fight an ATG and beat the recognized king of MW, then defended his linear crown against MW's.

Kelly is on very thin ice right now, in my opinion. AA has a fight scheduled, so Kelly should take something to keep busy, something good enough to be shown on TV to hype and end of the year showdown with AA. There is NO excuse for that fight not to be made.

AA has been in tough and has shown he is willing to leave Germany to fight pretty much anyone.

I don't havwe a problem with the Sturm fight, I just can't see it happening. What have you seen from Sturm that indicates he would actually take this fight?

Sturm has made Pavlik the taget in german papers and if Sturm want's to get some legacy from his career he's got to do it now.

As I've said elsewhere I don't see Sturm-Pavlik coming off as I think these preliminaries is merely for Pavlik to postition himself in the AA negotiations which has some haste to it because of AA's weight-troubles.

Still should Sturm-Pavlik get made I think it will be a very good fight. People here underestimate the german big time.
