Several days after his failed press release campaign to lure Manny Pacquiao into a fight, WBA welterweight champion Shane Mosley continues to beat the drums for a showdown with the Filipino champ. Rather than go for the fighters who are willing to fight him right now, like WBC champion Andre Berto and once-beaten Paul Williams, Mosley will continue to wait for Pacquiao to make a decision on his October 17 opponent. Most expect Pacquiao to wait until the aftermath of Mayweather-Marquez on July 18 before he makes a decision. [details]

Why wait for something that was never gonna happen in the first place? I can't believe some people think SSM was even in the mix of a possible fight with Pacquiao. Why would Pacquiao take that sorta of risk and ruin bigger money fights against Cotto (Which isn't gonna heppen in my opinion)/ Mayweather? Doesn't make sense to me.

Mosley should wait for if Cotto beats Clottey he can fight Cotto, if not then fight Clottey. He can fight Berto to unify the WBA, and WBC belts or just fight Paul Williams. There's no way in hell that Mosley is getting Pacquiao or Mayweather this year, maybe next year he can get Mayweather.Comment

Mosley should take at least take a stay busy fight, a guy like him should stay busy, staying out of the ring for a long period would probably hurt him more than help him.Comment
