  • David Haye vs. Nikolai Valuev Next; Why Not?

Now that WBO/IBF heayweight champion Wladimir Klitschko is out of the picture for the next few months, David Haye is rolling the dice on trying to land a fight with WBC champion Vitali Klitschko in September. Rather than rolling the dice on a fight that has a 50% chance of happening, why not target WBA heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev, who is available, in shape, and ready to fight. By the time Haye would step in the ring with Vitali in September, it would be nearly a year since his last fight [with Monte Barret last November]. [details]

This definitely should be the next fight made. It's not going to happen though. Enter John Ruiz vs Valuev.

why not? Make it Happen!! Valuev ain't much of a threat in my opinion. For being a big caveman giant, he doesn't use good technique to bring out his power...

This would be a good fight for early-late july.

That's exactly why it won't happen. Valuev's people won't let him near Haye.

Valuev can take a punch and I dont think Haye has good stamina. This would be a good heavyweight test to see if Haye is worth a **** in the division.

Haye should win, and I don't think Valuev people wont Haye. I think Valuev is protected!

Well, i wouldn`t say Valuev has much more of stamina himslef... He, arguably, was down in Ruiz II fight... Taking to consideration Haye is more agressive, faster and is a bigger puncher than Ruiz (though he is a CW) he is able to take Valuev out.

Valuev is no longer a freak who was afraid by his opponents, who were intimidated by his size... Right now fighters know he can be defeated and they are trying to do it with every upcoming fight...
