this ****'s gonna be awsome, there thinkin about getting the rapper "the game" to play em, at first i thought that was ******, but then i saw a pic of him, he looks jus like bernard, they got the same ****ed up nose.

What could this movie be about?

Okay it starts with Bernard as a kid, on the streets. He ends up in prison, gets out - starts boxing. That has to take up 30mins of a movie maybe.

What else interesting happens in Bernard's life?

I'm not trying to be funny, just curious, maybe someone can refresh my memory.

In my opinion it would be a pretty boring movie, since Benard was always such a dedicated fighter and lived like a monk without temptation distracting him.

Unlike a Micky Ward character who was constantly battling with addictions and trying to wrestle his brother away from them also - > this had an up and down affect on his career.

The only tension I can imagine for Bernard is his batteling with the promoters, or his quest for status, but again - why bother?

I'm curious how they could make this interesting.

I hope it's not low budget and The Game doesn't completely suck at acting.

Hopkins has had an interesting life. In one scene it will show him paying off Oscar to take a dive.

i agree with starjammer, bhops life is a success story, but not one where it would translate into a successfull movie IMO

I think it would be alright...him as a kid/teen for maybe 20-25 mins.

He gets locked up...jail type **** for another half hour...a few fights...

I think focusing on his life b4 boxing wud be interesting...during boxing Bernard was a gym rat...that wouldn't make an interesting movie.

I wud wait til Bernard's officially retired tho...

The Tyson movie with Jamie Foxx has tons of potential. Great story and actor.

Ali had so much potential but I thought it could have been better. Will Smith was good though.

If the Hopkins movie has the budget and a director as good as Ron Howard, this could be as good as Cinderella Man.
