And might I add that Manny Pacquiao wasn't the P4P best before
the De La Hoya fight because Oscar was actually eyeing Cotto
to fight him before Manny, so in actuality Cotto was on his way
to being the P4P best if he would have gotten past Antonio
Margarito because Pacquiao was the runner up after Cotto
and Oscar only wanted the best fighter.

Manny. Manny wasn't considered the P4P best until after
Floyd left and that's a fact. Manny has to fight Floyd and
beat him to rightfully be considered the best because how
can he be the P4P best by beating two guys that Floyd already
beat? Now does that sound like I'm hating?
both have a claim to the p4p title and it won't be settled until they fight or one of them loses.

when did beating oscar make you p4p #1? that's the first time I've heard that.

When did Manny Pacquiao get the P4P title? Wasn't it after he beat
Oscar De La Hoya? Because I'm sure that it wasn't before or else
Miguel Cotto wouldn't have been Oscar's first choice after the
Mayweathr Jr rematch didn't come together.

He got the title when Floyd gave it to him when he retired.

Then he "earned" it beating the worst champion at 135. Then "proved" he's the p4p champ when he beat the 145lb weight drained Oscar.

I had him p4p2, but then he lost to Marquez so I have him at 3 right now. I have Marquez at 1 and Hopkins at 2.

Mayweather has never been beaten. Marquez has never been beaten if you really study his losses. Hopkins has never been decisively beaten and just gave the p4p top 3 Calzaghe his first L, as well as the top 10 Pavlik his first L. All in my opinion. That's why I have Floyd as p4p once he beats Marquez.

              • Wait a minute.... De La Hoya was OK at 147, but not Mosley at 144?????

You would think that the so-called "P4P King" would have no issue with fighting Mosley at 147, not to mention 144!

                That's Pac's advisor's way of ducking a potential challenge...

                • This fight is bad for either fighter, except Mosley's bank balance... Mosley will be dehydrated at 142-143 I think he would be dehydrated at 144 and he will be at too big a disadvantage. Pacquiao can't fight him at 147 cause its too much, he will be outweighed by 10+ pounds on fight night.

Either way, it isn't fair on either fighter...

Yup, Pacquiao P4P #1 right now... everyone should be able to admit that...

um... pac earned his p4p #1 spot. floyd didn't give him anything.

Then he "earned" it beating the worst champion at 135.
nah, pac earned it moving up from 106 lbs all the way up to 130 lbs beating morales 2x, mab 2x, and jmm 2x.

Then "proved" he's the p4p champ when he beat the 145lb weight drained Oscar.
nah, the fight w/ oscar was just a payday

that's your opinion that runs counter to most p4p lists. but whatever.

                      Mayweather has never been beaten.

true, but there were a lot of good fighters that floyd didn't get to fight for whatever reason or other.

Marquez has never been beaten if you really study his losses.
                      but fact is he lost.

Hopkins has never been decisively beaten and just gave the p4p top 3 Calzaghe his first L, as well as the top 10 Pavlik his first L.
true, but never being decisively beaten isn't the same as undefeated.

All in my opinion. That's why I have Floyd as p4p once he beats Marquez.
                      thanks for the opinion.

                      1) roach said the dlh fight at 147 was a ONE time deal

                      2) pac officially weighed 138 lbs against hatton just a few weeks ago. when was the last time cotto/mosley/pbf officially weighed 138 lbs???

                      3) roach never intended for pac to campaign at WW

                      4) unless cotto/mosley/pbf agrees to 142, this fight shouldn't even be discussed. Get down to 142 lbs or GTFO and fight mosley

                      5) Cotto/mosley is a MW on fight night and Pac is a WW on fight night. IS THAT FAIR???

                      6) pac officially weighed 142 lbs against dlh. when was the last time cotto/mosley/pbf officially weighed 142 lbs???
