Clottey Fought Margarito Too Ya Know?

Its so funny how all the media and a ton of fans on here are trying to say that Margarito's win against Cotto doesnt count but they never say anything about Clottey. I still say that Margarito was using them back then also. How can everyone act like Margarito was loaded against Cotto and not give Clottey that same respect when theyre about to fight eachother. As far as Im concerned, Clottey is undefeated. I mean he fought the same exact Margarito, was up on the cards until he hurt his hand, and after that he basically let Margarito hit him at will and never got hurt one single time while Cotto was being destroyed. Im sick of all the one sided stuff in Cotto's favor all the time. I bet anything that if it was Floyd that lost to Margarito then no one would be saying that it didnt count. You know that everyone would be saying that they cant prove that he was loaded against Floyd. I just love the fact that Margarito used the loaded gloves only against Cotto but not against Clottey, Williams, and Cintron. I know he definatly used them against Johnson.

Dont get me wrong, I dont mind peopel saying that about Cotto because I beleive it too but you have to be fair with all the fighters in that regard. BTW, I still think people are sleeping on Margarito if he fought Cotto again. Should be a great fight this weekend. I totally disagree with the writer who just made the article where he thinks theyre is an 80% chance of a Cotto win because Cotto is a top 5 P4P guy while Clottey is top 30. Im not buying that big of a gap in Cotto's favor if theyre is 1 at all. Unless the weight has finally caught up to Clottey then I think he's going to give Cotto mad hell. I cant wait

Margarito hurt his hand in that fight too. He's the one who had the injury layoff afterwards. The difference was that he didn't make a big drama about it for the cameras like Clottey did.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think Marg started cheating until after the Williams loss. His whole world was upside down, his "most feared man in boxing" persona shattered, and the belt he had held for 5 years, defended 7 times, gone. Maybe we'll never know.

I agree, people say Clottey was provoked against Baldomir (I saw up till the 3rd or 4th round). But that's still no excuse, and Margarito beat him fairly until proven otherwise.

Clottey backers/Marg haters have always used the 'broken' hand excuse for that loss. Cotto stans got a patent on the plaster thing, proof or no proof it seems. That **** don't matter tho. What matters is they got a big fight comin up for Cotto's belt that could put either on track to bein the man at 147. **** Marg. Cats should forget about that cheatin bastard for now.

Clottey was DQ'd against Baldomir wasn't he? isn't saying "Baldomir beat Clottey" like saying Montell Griffin beat Roy Jones? It's a loss in your record but right beside that L they'll be a (DQ) which says a lot.

alot of people are making clottey out to be invincible and yes he is a very tough customer but he can be hurt to the body and cotto is one of the best body punchers around. clottey was also hurt in his fight with baldo, i think it was in the ninth round where he got tagged by a left hook, his air tight defense and general roughness gfot him through it but he was deffo buzzed.

personally i dont think cotto will hurt him though, that isolated incident aside clottey does not take too many punches and when he does we know he can take them.

i seriously think the williams loss started his cheating ways to be honest.....all those wins were by ko after the williams loss..he started showing unseen power
