Its apples & oranges due to the size. I always say this. Why should Cotto have any worry about fighting Clottey when theyre both the same size? None of the WW's should worry at all about fighting eachother because theyre all full blown WW's who are basically in there 1st or very natural division. Its different with Floyd. He's coming into the ring at 147 pounds and is in his 4th division. Thats the difference. You think Floyd would worry about fighting anyone at 130, 135, or even 140? Why should you fear guys your own size. People start worry about things when they know the guy has a huge size advantage on them. Thats when it changes. You guys keep trying to make it sound like Floyd is the same exact thing as these guys but he's not and you know it. All those guys are like 180 or more outside the ring and come into the ring at 160-170 pounds while Floyd is 150 outside the ring and 147 in it. That changes everything and if you think it doesnt then youre crazy. You think Floyd is worried about any of those guys P4P? They have nothing for him but he knows that its not a P4P fight. Its a WW fight against huge guys that he may have to pot shot to beat unless he finds a way to put on 10 pounds after the weigh-in

I really appreciate this post... That is an interesting POV I never considered. Bob Arum throws Cotto in against one of his toughest welterweights, and if he loses it diminishes Cotto's star power. That is just revenge for Cotto publicly questioning both Arum/Top Rank and Margarito. Now, he can leave Top Rank if he wants to, but he also loses his position at the upper echelon of the sport. Floyd is a smart dude, and I'm glad he shared that little bit of insight.
