Well he can be a little overated, I'd like to see him in against Prescott, Juan Diaz or Guzman. His hand speed seems to be overated by some, he isn't that fast, I've seen faster and whats speed if your wide open? Valero reminds me of a young Pacquiao, except Valero has more punches in his arsenal/ Pacquiao's footwork is better and his chin wasn't as out as Valeros.

Valero can become great, up to him. Anyway, how old is Valero?

He wasn't liscensed to fight in many of the major states and boxing commissions because of that brain scan they did a while back.

He was basically blackballed from fighting in the U.S. until Texas finally licenced him.

He had to fight in Japan a lot.

That isn't his fault at all. Just circumstances.

Yeah that is understandable but he is still very untested for a guy his age and that could hurt him in the big fights.

I think Valero could possibly be a factor but I'm not totally sold on him yet. I think Humberto Soto would likely beat him. I still want to see the fight though.

He K.O'd his last opponent with a right hook. Infact, Valero developed a right hook alot sooner then Pacquiao.

Isn't Arum wanting to do that fight? As much as I rip Arum for giving us ****ty PPVs, I would be tempted to pay for this one if he threw a decent undercard on it. I thought it was ****** that Valero turned down a fight with Prescott, but if he fought Soto that would be a tougher challenge. Soto would have to be willing to move five pounds up in weight though, which I'm sure he is willing to.

He did very well till he came up to barrera. Proving he wasnt good enough to play with the big boys. Do you guy's think Edwin is? I think he needs to train alot more. He could deffinetly be better, but right now hes doing good.
lemme see him against a gatekeeper atleast first.
