so accoding to your logic a guy like baldomir was a better champion than cotto cuz he won it legit and not vacant. your logic is ****, its easier to win a championship than it is to defend. baldy, buster douglas, carlos quintana among others won legit championships and what happened when they defended them? like in all sports anyone can win the championship but its alot harder to defend it. whos the champion out of orlando and l.a? none but the winner will be the champ

Why do people keep changing the subject from Cotto to Mayweather? Yeah, I agree Baldomir was a **** champion. I never said he wasn't, and I don't give Floyd any credit for that victory. And you are right, there are some cases of where linear champions can be a flash in the pan. But linear champions are elite more often than not. And you did mention some exceptions and that makes some sense. But do you honestly think that Cotto's stock goes up by beating a guy like Michael Jennings? I understand the IBF stripped Clottey, but he never even earned that belt either in the first place. He won that vacantly off of Zab Judah when it was stripped from Margarito (as much as a cheating scumbag he was).Comment
