I think the shane that fought oscar in 2000 maybe beats the floyd now.

When has floyd faced the pressure cotto did against margarito? NEVER so shut the *** up! You're comparing oranges to apple. Floyd was trying avoid the punches and was throwing non-stop something floyd doesn't do.

So one must prove his stamina by throwing tons of unnecessary punches that don't land? Floyd is an accurate puncher, not a volume puncher. Also, the amount of movement he does plays a role on his stamina.

And I don't know why you say I make him look like a robot, didn't I just say that I felt he LOST the first Castillo fight a couple posts back?

Cotto made the mistake of never clinching Margarito, making it seem that Margarito's pressure was never going to end. Shane used this tactic against Margarito to great success. Floyd is the type of fighter that doesn't care about being exciting and you best believe he will clinch and hold a fighter with Margarito-type pressure.

          You're good, homie.
I asked you how you are so sure floyd has great stamina if it's never been tested and you still haven't answered it. You bash cotto's stamina against margarito and ask when floyd has been gassed and I ask you when floyd has been pressured they way cotto was that night and you still haven't answered. Floyd is always in good shape but he's never had a guy walk him down, walk throug his punches and pound him non stop to the body throwing a hundred punches a round. Floyd has never gone through that. So don't compare cotto's stamina that night to floyds stamina. And that wasn't even cotto's stamina that night, it was more him getting pounded and not being to fight anymore. I thought cotto showed GREAT stamina that night. The pressure he endured, the punches he took and threw all show how great his stamina was that night. ***en margarito was running at times twards cotto. Margarito's stamina ****s on floyd's.

read my post before this last post. Cotto didn't clinch at all against Margarito, he has never boxed the way he did that night, tried too hard to KO Tony and wore himself out because of it.

You ask when was the last time Floyd seen that same kind of pressure. The answer is never. Why? Because he ALWAYS nullified the other guys' pressure. Be it with clinching, rope-a-doping them or pot-shotting. Castillo, Baldomir, Oscar and Hatton tried to smother him and they ALL failed.

Floyd is also a very good inside fighter, he beats people in the clinch with short hooks and uppercuts and nullifies his opponents best weapon a lot of the time

To beat Floyd you've got to have a good jab, decent defence, stamina and excellent pressure fighter

There is no point trying to outbox Floyd, you'd just get beat, period

I don't see any current smaller fighter beating Floyd, gifting him a natural weight advantage is asking for trouble

Cotto has the best chance of beating Floyd

Lol, blah, blah, blah -- Floyd loses to none of the forementioned people. Strength this and speed that. Floyd will, and you know it, have the plan, skill, and effectiveness to give anyone of those fighters a loss. Next thread.

Floyd = EXCELLENT stamina, speed and defense. Decent power and can adapt to any style.

Floyd hasn't been outboxed. He has been pressured before but has victories against fighters who tried to pressure him. Zab had early success but Cotto is not fast enough nor a southpaw to try and replicate the same success.
Good points. Cotto can't outbox Floyd and he isn't active or good enough at cutting off the ring to keep Floyd on the ropes. Mosley has a better chance of winning because Mosley will rough Mayweather up and has the handspeed and explosiveness to blitz him. Cotto's just going to throw by the book methodical punches and hope they land. Punches that aren't even all that fast. Takes more than that to connect on Floyd.

He's never gone through it because he stops it from happening. If he fought ****** like Cotto did against Margarito, guys like Chavez and N'dou would have pulled this off, who managed to do it for a couple rounds anyways.
