1000 to 5000 British fans less. Not much.

Where is this number coming from?

The info I read is: "Most of the tickets for the 60,000 Veltins Arena have been purchased by Germans, with only 5000 being bout by British fans."

Hmm, let's compare some of the pasttime heavyweight divisions:

            * Gene Tunney fights Young Guerini (who boxed as low 126 lbs)
            * Rocky Marciano in the 40ies fights opponents with a median career record of 11-9.
            * Joe Louis (WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT title!) fights featherfist Musto (13 KOs in 70 fights, career record 36-30).
            * Joe Frazier (NYSAC World heavyweight title) vs Ramos (featherfist and chinachin, career record 25-29)
            * Lennox Lewis (in his 27th fight) vs Justin Fortune (a 15-8 chinachin and featherfist).
            * Clay (WORLD TITLE!) fights 6-0 featherfist Jimmy Young (career record 34-19).

Relax. Nowadays division is completely fine.

It came from 25,000 of my British mates.

Young was a good fighter at his best he had 24 fights before Ali.

Wlad reluctantly took the fight in a contract that if Haye won he had to fight either one of the Klitschko's not one but two more times! Then Haye genuinely gets injured and asks for the fight to be delayed just 3 weeks and Wlad gets out of there ASAP.....pathetic. I've nothing against Wlad but he's ducking Haye.
                  1) Negotiation with Wlad is easy as is proven by the counless other opponents that he had and by the quick negotations with Chagaev.
                  2) The contract with Haye is a 2-option contract. Not 7-option like some Don King contracts! It says: Should Haye win then there is a rematch and should Haye win again then he fights Vitali. This is the BEST FAN-FRIENDLY CONTRACT ever seen. Tell me which fan would not like to see a 2-times-Wlad-conquerer fight against Vitali. Moreover this contract is also Haye-friendly because he gets a guaranteed shot at Wlad AND Vitali.
                  3) Haye not only flipflopped but he robbed us of 1 Klitschko fight, since Klitschko would have fought in March already against some other opponent had not Haye prolonged the negotiations and wrong promises (like that he could get a stadium in the UK etc).
                  4) Who says that Haye got "genuinly injured"? Maybe he increased his inflammation/injury risk because of steroid abuse?
                  5) Haye's "3 weeks" was mere speculation. It now got increased to "5 weeks" which then could increase to "3 months".
                  6) You write "I've nothing against Wlad" but then you fill up your post with adjectives like "reluctant", "crazy" and "ducking".

Stick to the facts next time.

Yeah, I didn't count fights against cruisers (< 200 lbs).

Jimmy Young has 24 wins vs 15 losses. Of the 24 wins 14 are bums (= lost 25%+ of their fights in their career). How many 200lbs+ non-bums did Jimmy Young KO in his career? TWO. How many world titles did he win? ZERO.

Jimmy Young is a heavyweight bum.

EVEN KEN NORTON has a better record: 31 wins (of which 22 were bums with a median career record of 16-14) vs 6 losses.

Joe Frazier is also second league with 15 wins vs 4 losses. Of these 15 wins 7 were against bums (with a median career record of 25-14). Frazier has scored 4 KOs against non-bums. Yawn.

If anyone wants to return to such a boring heavyweight division then it's their choice.

But DO NOT REPLY TO MY POST. Because my post is actually offtopic here.
