BoxingScene.com has been advised that HBO is not interested in a potential heavyweight fight between IBF/WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko and undefeated Ruslan Chagaev. HBO would rather have Klitschko fight David Haye on July 11. Haye had been scheduled to fight Klitschko on June 20 in Germany, but withdrew on Wednesday with a back injury. Klitschko would like to go forward on the June date with Chagaev. [details]

Haye has one legitimate heavyweight fight against anyone alive, and that is Barrett, someone Wlad DESTROYED and knocked down 7 times YEARS AGO.
Wlad will stop running from Haye when you stop running from intelligence.Comment

Wlad is getting an 85/15 slice, the fight is in Germany, and if Haye happens to win, he is contractually obligated to keep fighting a Klitschklo until he loses to one of them.
Its a bull**** deal and Wlad is doing everything he can to get out of fighting Haye. The people paid their hard earned money to see Wlad fight David Haye, not another handpicked stiff.Comment

Wlad should probably fight Chagaev, I am sure some station would televise it in the US, even if you have to go the basic cable route to get extra exposure. I am not sure why HBO would turn this fight down, although they have been building the Haye fight but they can build it even more now down the road so not showing this fight which would be one of Wlad's better recent fights (although Chagaev has the layoff and is kind of unknown in the US, but is David Haye?) makes little sence to me, other then as a cost cutting move.Comment
