Margarito Vs. Mayweather should be the next fight this fall should Mayweather get pass Marquez. A win by Mayweather legitimizes his career as a serious welterweight and for Margarito his past will be just that and he can begin the climb back to redemption. The winner faces Mosley or PW in the spring of 2010, but before hand Mosley has to face PW. Meanwhile, let's have Berto Vs. Cotto and Marquez Vs. Pac-Man IV this fall and winter. Clottey Vs. Cintron on an undercard at 154 and Angulo Vs. Kirkland to top it off. Kinda wish boxing can take a page from UFC.

sorry to tell you that majority of them thinks disparagingly 'bout floyd.
        some quotes here:
        - Mayweather harps on his undefeated record because he knows his opposition level is lacking.
        - Mayweather wins has not been as dominant. Fights with De La Hoya, Victoriano Sosa, the second with Castillo, and Zab Judah were close competitive matches where Mayweather absolutely did not win with ease
        - Pacquiao does not need Mayweather anymore than Mayweather needs Pacquiao.
        - Mayweather does need to do more if he wants historians to confirm that he was as great as he thinks he is.
Pacquiao struggled with JMM twice, eventhough he knocked him down
a combine 4 times in 2 fights? Pacquiao has fought two Mayweather
opponents a year or so after him? Pacquiao has losses on his record
Floyd doesn't. Floyd is considered the #1/#2 Jr Lightweight in the
sport of Boxing, Pacquiao is not. After JMM, Pacquiao did the same thing
that Floyd did and that was chase them $ fights, so how is Pacquiao
so much more dominate and great than Mayweather? Floyd went all
the way up to 154 and Pacquiao can't even fight a prime WW, without
a catch weight? Come on man, I like Pacquiao, he earned my respect
but to say he is so much greater than Floyd is not right and exact
considering, Pacquiao dodge all the real test at 135 and most likely won't
fight anyone at 140. The Hatton win was GREAT, but Pac is on his
$ grind right now as Floyd is. Once Floyd beats Pac, watch all the
        size excuses come in.

I'm convinced that you work for Floyds team. Your probably paid to come on here and just post something in every thread possible. Seriously you go dig up the oldest article possible and try to rejuvinate them. The Mayweather talk has been pretty dead today until you came on here now it's takin over again.

I'm gonna use this thread to describe the JMM-Mayweather fight instead of picking apart someone's resume. I think Mayweather has finally met his match here. It's not like JMM hasn't fought slick fighters before. Joel Casamayor, Derrick "Smoke" Gainer, and Chris John come to mind. He has looked dull against them, but he pulled the victory out everytime. And that includes the Indonesia robbery against Chris John, of where he was penalized several points for low blows.

uh yeah, Floyd could have waited a day and the fight with Pac would have been made, but no, he has to have his "tune up" before fighting Pac, a small jr ww.

floyd is scared to go straight to Manny.

Tony conveniently forgot Floyd's name after every one of his fights.

Marge could have become Floyd's MANDITORY!!!!.........

Simply by DUMPING his WBO crap-strap.

                WHY DIDN'T HE???????????????

Tony even chose Manuel Gomez over Mayweather.

The guy never wanted any..Arum used Floyd's name to promote his Pinata.

Fanny Pac was scared to resolve his issues w/JMM and to fight a DECENT lightweight.

David Diaz was pure D trash.
