Why on earth would you use Oscar as an example? The only reason his career reached such great heights is because he was a great draw. They were never going to give Pernell/Sturm/Ike the decision.

Because I was a fan of Floyd's, I just don't devote myself so heavily to him to where my judgement is completely clouded with whatever Floyd tells the media being the gospel truth. Keep in mind dude...HE'S SELLING FIGHTS, not preaching. The simple fact that he says he won't fight Mosley because he has 5 losses is another example of that, but you guys will take that and throw it all over this forum as if it was Jesus who told his disciples what to FWD that info the rest of the "sheep".

Oscar win or lose STILL fought those guys. Was Ike Quartey small risk / high reward fight? Hell No! Floyd shouldn’t fight Mosley now since he way past it and gets no credit. He should have fought him a lot earlier. And fault was that. Mosley fault not once but TWICE. It's funny now Floyd must fight Mosley now but when Mosley ducked him no one talks about it.

Take away Oscar draw, his career would have finished once at 147. They gave him the nod over Pernell because of the money he brings.

I guess Floyd's comp is getting a little better because back when he fought Baldomir, he was fighting guys with 9 losses. How many losses did Oscar have when he fought Floyd (not counting Sturm and Whittaker).
