On a real note... realistically, Pernell couldn't be any worse than what he has now..

i'm hearing alot of crack/coke jokes and i'm wondering if you guys know that he has been clean and training alot of fighters. pernell has not quit on any of his fighters and put all that other **** behind him a long time ago. for spaddy to get pernell as a trainer, is the best thing he can do, both are very slick/defensive southpaws all around good fighters. mark my words, spaddy is comming back

i think its a good match up, both of them fight while backing up and finding "inventive" angles to punch from.

sweet p can help sp take it to the next level

Leave the man alone. You wanna talk about coke heads then mention Ray Leonard, JC Chavez, Duran, even Hagler did that **** at one time. That was in the past, I saw Ringside Pernell Whitaker on ESPN a few months ago and he looks alot better than he used to. You can tell he is off that **** now. Either way he is the best lightweight ever and the best southpaw ever. Hiring him as a trainer would be incredible, is this fight going to be televised anywhere?
