The SPL is nowhere NEAR the worst league in the world, we have two of the WORLDS biggest clubs. Out of a 12 team league we also have 6 European places up for grabs.

The idea of Setanta going bust is a very scary and depressing prospect for those of us who remember how hard it was to watch boxing for years and years before the explosion of the internet.

Sure, we'll still be able to find streams for most of the fights that Setanta would have shown. But it's not just that, it's the fact that they genuinely promoted and seemed to care for boxing, and doing so at a decent price, as opposed to PPV like Sky, which just has the effect of marginalising people and putting off new potential fans.

I honestly find it amazing when people on this site **** on Setanta. Sure, Sky's coverage and commentary team is better, but would Sky show something like Torres vs Holt? I remember spending ages looking for a HBO stream of Lopez vs Penasola, only to finally discover Setanta, which I have, was showing it. That to me summed up the beauty of Setanta. I can even appreciate someone like Bunce, who talks rubbish and irritates me, because he genuinely cares about the sport, and promotes it.

To sum up, Setanta rule. Hard.

And we better pray that they can get themselves out of this crisis they're in.
