Add also that Wlad probably has to defend against Povetkin by September or face a possible strip so every week counts. And a chance to fight Chagaev for The Ring belt would also be significant.

Damn this injury. It really muddles the picture.
It sure does. If they could find a site to host I would be all for postponement. they could possibly pay povetkin to push the mandatory back a month or so.

Chagaev makes me nervous. He is the king of last minute pullouts. Three more weeks of training and you never know if he stubs his toe or something else like that

Chagaev is also a southpaw BTW and since Wlad has prepared for an orthodox fighter Chagaev's chances of winning (if he shows) will never be better.

You figure they have to make a decision by monday at the latest.

It sucks that this fight had to be postponed, but god I want it to happen. I unerstand both guys haven't fought in a little bit, but it's only 3 weeks and this is the ONLY fight at Heavyweight that anyone really cares about.

Mikkel Kessler fought Mundine in Australia with a back injury and entered the ring in Wales for the fight of his life against Calzaghe with a broken right hand.

              I guess some fighters would....
